I visited Victoria Fish Bar whilst on holiday in the area. The owner asked if I minded waiting 20 minutes for the haddock to be cooked to order. Well, let's just say good things come to those who wait: it was hands down, one of the nicest pieces of haddock I've ever had!! Not only was it huge but it was cooked beautifully and the batter was crisp. The chips were also incredible: too often, chippy chips can remain a bit hard but these were clearly blanched properly before frying and they were delicious.The owner was also a lovely, friendly chap and I really wish I had a chippy like this in my home town!!

I have given 5 stars to Victoria Fish Bar as the chips were very fresh and cooked while I was waiting. The staff member that served me was absolutely lovely and we had a chat while I was waiting for my order. If you want great service and lovely fresh food please check this place out if your in the area.

This is the best fish and chips I’ve had anywhere, and I have tried many! Portion sizes are big. Prices very good. You can also get fish bites (yummy!), mini fish, burgers, pies, sausages etc etc, plus a range of daily specials. The place looks plain but it’s clean and functional. Very friendly, run by locals, supported by locals, always fresh. My only bug bear - it’s cash only. But there is a cash point just a couple of minutes away, get some whilst they prepare your meal…

That old saying that 1st impressions count is spot on. I'd been out for the day and really fancied fish and chips. I Looked on the internet and found this establishment some way from where I was but thought I'd give it a go, knowing that closing time was 2pm. I arrived there literally at closing time but asked if there was any last fish and chips available. The guy behind the counter who may have been the owner, but if not he's a credit to the owner said he'd cook it there and then. He did! Absolutely fantastic service and absolute fantastic food. I'll be stopping there again! 5 stars definately.

Best fish and chip shop in mid Wales!staff absolute brilliant, and the food was perfect.I would 100%. Recommend the fish and chips and my Mrs enjoyed the fish and chips. 100% the best fish bad in the whole of wale. And yes, this is the last pissed from Friday night thank you

Wonderful fish and chips, huge fish portion even the mini fish was big. All 4 of us enjoyed it, and as we're on holiday will be going again before we go home.
