Nether End Car Park - DDDC

Found this when sorting a start point for a hike. Brilliant car park, good surface, plenty of space and easy to access

Be aware you can only pay with coins at this car park. Really frustrating experience parking here. It took over 30 minutes to pay because the machine is something from the 18th century. It only accepts coins. We had card, notes, card via phone and a few pounds in coins, but not enough for an hour. There is an annoying app you can download that eventually we were able to use, but it took 30 minutes of walking around near the car park to find any signal to pay. Hardly anyone carries cash on them and yet we carried 3 forms of commonly accepted payment that were completely useless.There are toilets on site but the ladies was out of order and the men's was locked with no explanation.Prices aren't too bad considering you have good walking options. Just a shame about the payment machine.

Not too busy. Had to use correct cash or paybyphone. Definitely need this app these days if you use car parks a lot.

Nice car park, working toilets, machine accepted card payments (can take coins also, and phone I believe - see photo taken 28th March 2022). Would park here again :-)

In Baslow, so an easy walk onto Chatsworth estate, though when we tried to park the signs at the payment point said to use an app. Couldn't get a signal on my phone so we left and parked at Chatsworth house. Great location, but we've had payment issues before, I think when there was a pay by card facility it was the same problem of getting a signal. Otherwise excellent car park

Good carpark for walking along curbar ridge.£6.00 all day coins or card.

Nice car park with Public toilets. Only a short walk to chatsworth on east flat paths. Pram friendly. Decent price however needed correct change, but was easy to use the pay by phone app.

It's a car park. The ticket machine was a bit confusing - it gave me a time allowance for £3 although there was no such tariff on the board, because of this lack of clarity I ended up paying more than necessary - £4 for 3 hours. There are toilets on site (poor flush action though). There's a nice ice-cream shop. You can walk to Chatsworth.

Cpuncil-run park offers a cheaper parking choice than Chatsworth House itself with pleasant footpath walk into Chatsworth park. Free for local residents before 11am and after 4pm. Toilet block is also run by local Derbyshire Dales council but we found it locked at 4.30pm on a May afternoon i.e approx four hours before dusk! Strange logic to someone needing a pee at a normal recreational hour...
