I went to the crochet class and loved it! Really lovely mix of people and a small class so lots of (much needed in my case) help on hand. Great atmosphere and a warm and friendly welcome from everyone, especially the staff. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone interested in learning how to crochet or wanting more guidance! I am now happily crocheting granny squares at home... (with the gorgeous wool I bought here at the end of the class)

I paid Sue close to £1100 for 4 blinds. They look 4 weeks longer than expected to be made and then when fitted they were incorrectly measured so had to be redone which took a further 3 weeks. Sue grudgingly fixed these and charged extra to do so - it was a long period of negotiation to get her to address what any other service provider would normally acknowledge and do as a matter of customer service. The blinds were finally hung and Sue asked me to let her know of any issues. One string on one blind snapped and rather than addressing herself, Sue sent her installer who isn’t experienced in hanging blinds, only installing curtain rails. He left them hanging like this - see images below and refused to come back to address because Sue had sent vague email instructions for me to sort. I am Sue is an excellent teacher but my experience as her customer has left me wanting. See images of final effect with the blind creasing at the bottom which has yet to be addressed. Sue will now not address as I have put images on Facebook and taken the lack of service ‘public’. It’s amazing to me to pay for a bespoke service and wish I had just gone mass market because the end result would have been better and less hassle.

An amazing experience and incredibly helpful and experienced people behind it. They not only helped me learn the skills required to make my own prom dress but also worked with me through every step along the way. I would definitely recommend.

Love the fabric I purchased from Sweet Seams, staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, and helped me pick out just what I needed. I see they do sewing classes as well, so I’m looking forward to signing up!

I have had sewing classes with Sue over the past 6 months and have thoroughly enjoyed every class. Sue has amazing knowledge and I have learnt so much during that time. There is a great sense of community in the shop, good stock and material and I have met some lovely women. It has been a great experience and I can highly recommend the shop and classes. Very friendly staff, only popped in for interfacing, which was a great price (better than when I had ordered it on ebay!). Will definitely be back for other fabrics.

My child thoroughly enjoys Sue's sewing lessons and we've just signed up for another term. They're a great way for kids to unwind and learn a new skill in a supportive, encouraging environment.
