Mike Fishpen Personal Chef Services

Mike Fishpen is absolutely brilliant! He cooked a fabulous meal for my husband’s 60th birthday party in January 2022. From first enquiring about Mike’s services to the moment he left after dinner the service was first class and the menu and quality of food were amazing! Our waitress, Sarah was also fabulous and looked after us so well. Great value for money and I would not hesitate to recommend or ask Mike to be our chef again.

Mike cooked us an amazing meal as a surprise for my wife’s birthday. Both he and his waitress Anya were absolutely superb, as was the food - the best fillet steak I have ever tasted!

Our experience of a Mike Fishpen private dining experience was one of the best we have ever had. The food, service and help was second to none. Mike was so flexible for our evening and providing all the crockery etc. Meant that we didn’t have to worry about any clearing up which when you have 10 for dinner was the perfect way to end the evening. We’ve had to wait until lockdown was over to be able to book Mike again but as soon as we could we’ve booked Mike again, cannot wait to enjoy his delicious food again!

My husband’s 70th was on 14/9/21 and my son’s 33rd was on 16/9/21 this called for a really good celebratory meal for us and our partners, however, my son’s dog meant that it would be impossible to eat out. Following extensive research and excellent reviews about Mike I decided to go ahead and book him for a private meal for 4 in our tiny Forest Of Dean cottage. Mike’s professionalism meant I was aware well in advance of table setting menu and so on. Mike was extremely friendly and we all felt totally at ease in our own home whilst savouring numerous exceptionally delectable and refine dishes. The meal was truly world class and as good as we have ever had at any Michelin Star restaurant, delivered with flair and a perfect description of everything he had cooked for us. We ate his delicious food accompanied by our choice of wine and all without the normal subdued atmosphere that you get in a restaurant allowing us to laugh talk loudly and although engage with Mike who was cooking our meal in our kitchen! We would do it all again in a flash and would totally recommend anyone to experience a gastronomic home cooked meal by Mike a top ranked chef. Thank you for making my husband’s milestone birthday an experience he will never forget!

I would highly recommend Mike for any dinner party or private event. He is an excellent chef who really demonstrates his passion and talent through his menu and exquisite food. He listened to our preferences and especially one of my very fussy vegetarian friends. Every single one of us cleaned our plates on every single course. I also had a last minute issue, which Mike sorted out for me quickly and efficiently, which was great! Mike’s knowledge really shines through and as a result of hiring Mike I was able to relax and enjoy the evening with my friends… it was perfect! Thank you Mike.

Absolutely superb! Engaging Mike as our private chef was a fantastic experience. Mike himself is an extremely professional, calm and lovely person - he also happens to be an excellent chef!! Organising a very important family event for my in- laws diamond wedding anniversary was made so much easier by Mike and his wonderful assistant Sarah.Great pre event communication and on the day - simply spectacular! Delicious food, excellent service - nothing to complain about and yes we will definitely be asking Mike to our next family party. Thank you from us all !

Goodness me, Mike Fishpen is a wizard. He coped with last minute changes in dietary requirements, my weird kitchen arrangements and equipment, but managed to cope brilliantly. The food was superb, each course introduced by Mike. My guests were impressed and delighted and are pushing to have Mike do another performance". We can't ignore the contribution of Sarah

Mike's chef Tom and Tom's wife cooked 11 of us an amazing 3 course meal for a private event at an Airbnb in the cotswolds. He was easy to get in touch with and very flexible, able to change venue at short notice. The food was incredible, and the kitchen was left tidier than we found it!

Mike chef’d for us for the first time this week and the experience was exceptional! Making the arrangements was clear and easy, responsive to dietary requirements in our party. We felt very comfortable with Mike from the moment he arrived and the service was very professional. Food was exceptional, well prepared, delicious and innovative. We enjoyed the whole experience very much and I would wholeheartedly recommend Mike as a private chef experience! Thanks Mike
