Bought a car from Gem Motors back in August. All was well for the first 2 weeks until faults started developing. I allowed Gem Motors to see to the vehicle where they attempted to diagnose and repair, the fault came back 2 hours later after having my car back and has intermittently come back ever since. They have had the vehicle back since and attempted to diagnose but could not. During this time I have been having low oil pressure warnings and multiple other faults which have been documented.However, due to the fact that they themselves could not get it to fault they have not carried out any further repairs or diagnosis. I have been unable to drive my car for nearly 2 months as I have been disputing this with the finance company as the car should be returned due to it being faulty. Gem Motors have rejected my refusal as they somehow believe there are no faults even though I have given them evidence both in the form of video/picture and also a diagnostic report which shows all of the fault codes that were stored during that diagnostic session.This company has caused us nothing but trouble and we are still waiting for them to take our vehicle back for their own inspection. However, I am sure they will tell me what they have told me before and that they couldn’t find a fault with the vehicle. Absolutely disgusting to have put me through this much stress. I was absolutely delighted with the car when I first bought it but it’s been an absolute nightmare since the faults first occurred just TWO WEEKS AFTER BUYING and the same fault STILL has not been fixed as well as other faults on top.Not to say their other cars are full of faults, for all I know they could be fine… but in my opinion I would save the headache and avoid this company at all costs. Your money is better spent elsewhere with a genuine dealer.

A few fake reviews to boost it up says it all. Bought a car from him. Nothing but problems. Raised it with them and basically lied and refused to take any responsibility. Tried to return it refused. Ignoring emails and all sorts. Ignoring my consumer rights completely. Taken this further I wont let someone get away with what he has done

From the moment I arrived at GEM Motors I was warmly greeted. The salesman was friendly and courteous, explained everything very clearly and I didn't feel under pressure to make a purchase either. It was an exceptional level of customer service.Following a few viewings of potential vehicles, I opted for the car I had seen on the website and took it for a test drive.Excellent staff, excellent cars, excellent aftersales care.

I was initially put off by all the negative reviews on this page but on investigating, I found Gem Motors to be a great little set up and the team to be very professional and helpful. I bought a lovely Berlingo from them. There were a few problems after the purchase but they were happy to look over the van weeks after purchase and rectify the problems. I would recommend. I bought a car from these people for a lot of money and had problems from the start. they made excuses and said there was nothing wrong with it as their expert had checked it over. they added a cleaning liquid to the engine and said that would be enough to fix the problem. now eight months down the line the car got worse nod now it has cost me over 1000 pounds to fix the problem that I told them I had when the car was under warranty. the owner or the company told me that there was nothing they could do and that his employee would deny any knowledge of the problem if I reported them. as I have a son with type one diabetes my car is an important life line but the owner just laughed down the phone at me when I told him this and said it was my problem now (although they knew about the problem within the warranty time). he is a very untrustworthy person and I would warn anyone buying a car from these unscrupulous people to be very careful as id hate anyone else to be ripped off and abused like I was

After Searching for a vehicle for a few weeks we finally came across GEM Motors and Paul was more than helpful with our enquiries. We had a test drive of our chosen car and Paul wasn't happy with us driving the car away because there was a very small fault. It was rectified very quickly and efficiently and professional. It was very reassuring to know we were dealing with a professional company. I will recommend to anyone who is looking for a used vehicle to GEM Motors. Looking at some of these reviews I'm sure some people will think this is a fake review. Especially considering previous negative reviews which I can say is hard to believe.Paul & Dee went the extra mile to look after us, even after we drove away with the Merc C220 and encountered a common fault with the sensors, we thought the worst. In fact the experience was the opposite, they offered a full refund if we weren't happy or couldn't fix the problem. Considering the car was otherwise in perfect/clean condition, we decided to give them a chance to fix it. They didn't want us to drive away with a car that had problems.They took the car back, diagnosed the entire car, fixed the sensors and even a small pressure loss of the coolant tank that we might have never known about for a very long time. The car drives beautifully now, no issues and even valeted the car a second time before handing it back. They also renewed the warranty for the time lost.What more service can one ask for. Sorry Dee, I know I got your name wrong.
