Beware of return process. Sixt asked me to sign return receipt after telling me the car was fine. Unbeknown to me, they had noted scratches on the form. They then emailed me later seeking to resolve the scratches. Also beware of the reviews as the Sixt representative encourages you to give 5 stars in return for future upgrades. Very dubious business practices.

SIXT is turning into a scam. Ensure you take detailed pictures of every part of the car you rent, otherwise they will claim for each scratch. After 70 years of driving between my wife and I, with a single insurance claim on our own cars, we were incorrectly accused by SIXT for 3 damages after 200 miles driving from Nov 11-13, to the front, the back and the side of the car we rented. How we can make 3 damages to 3 different parts of the car is simply not logical. But SIXT relies on its own (poor) internal records of damages and then sends an unjust bill. Simply never ever use them again. And if you must, add 10 minutes before you drive away to take 4K pictures of each side of the car. But really, simply never use them is best.

Had a tyre blow which resulted in a new vehicle replacement to be collected from Gatwick Airport. Big thanks to Raksha who helped tremendously and supplied a smooth transition to the new vehicle.

Paid for a car in March for 2 weeks in late July $2500 CAD paid up front. At pick up they gave us a Free Upgrade" because they did not have the car I booked or anything close to it. I protested it was not close to what I booked

Hidden charges not on the quoted and paid for price. Especially premium location charge of £77 not mentioned until car is picked up. Rip off

Make sure you check for damage before you take the car as Sixt will charge you for other people's damage. More honest car rentals companies at the airport so i don't recommend this one.

This car rental company is a scam.We made a reservation to rent a car from Tuesday 7th November to Thursday 8th November at Gatwick Airport at the Sixt South Terminal Office.After picking up the car at 23:00pm in the evening, after driving for only 1 and a half hours, the left rear wheel of the car got a puncture. We were on the road waiting 4 HOURS from 02:00 am to 06:00 am for the tow truck to come and pick up the car and the taxi to pick us up.For more than 4 hours they only gave us excuses that the tow truck would arrive in 1 hour, then in half an hour and so they took all night. The taxi managed by Sixt did not arrive until after the tow truck.The funny thing is that the car had no spare tyre or puncture repair kit!The next day we had an important meeting at 09:00 am and we couldn't rest for 2 hours because of Sixt.We decided to change car rental company and not to ask for a return car. We booked on Wednesday 8th with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and everything was perfect.When we went to the Sixt office at Gatwcik Airport on Thursday 9 November, the Branch Manager (can't remember the name) begged me to please not give a negative review as they were not going to charge us anything extra and would immediately refund the deposit they had withheld. The booking fee could not be refunded because we had booked through Edreams.The surprise was that yesterday, Thursday 23rd November, we received an email from Sixt saying that they considered that the problem of the flat tyre was our fault and that they would charge us 144,35 GBP within 7 days.Don't even think about it! I will not allow them to charge me any more. I will block any charges they want to make and I am posting this negative review after the email I received yesterday. Because, after speaking to the Branch Manager on Thursday 9 November, I decided not to post a review, but, after the email I received yesterday saying that they consider the flat tyre to be our fault, I have no choice but to NOT recommend this company or Sixt's management.I don't recommend Sixt, they are a LOW COST car rental company that always wants to charge you extra money for everything, they make up anything and their customer service is terrible.

Stay away from this company. I rented for a day then returned it and 2 weeks later they claimed it had some damage which i denied strongly but they still took A thousand pounds from me. Check the car carefully before you take it.

Seldom have I had such great service when picking up a rental car. Rhys Gorringe was able to find me a great car and get me out on the road very quickly. He even sent me a follow up email to make sure it’s all good. Keep up the good work.
