Stayed in one of the student properties, with four friends from university, over a period of two years. As estate agencies go, Sally Hatcher is one of the better ones. For a student property the house was nice, and if any issues at the house occurred, most were dealt with promptly. The staff at Sally Hatcher are friendly and patient, particularly Dean, who was always courteous and polite. Would recommend to other students.

We have been with Sally Hatcher for the past 2 years and the experience has been amazing. We were tenants to a student house, and the communication and customer service the estate agency has given us has gone above and beyond anything we could have imagined. Any time we ever had an issue we would email and get an instant response. Furthermore, the estate agency went beyond house matters and were always quick to inform and explain any processes we were unsure of given our inexperience in renting houses such as setting up bills, the check in and check out processes. Most significantly, our biggest issue was with our landlord and our deposit which they were taking an unjust and extortionate amount for. Our estate agent, Dean, did everything in his power and knowledge to ensure we were well informed about our rights as tenants and what the entire process would be like. There was complete transparency and constant clear communication, over the phone and email, and we were never left in the dark, despite the landlord partially taking advantage of our inexperience. I was able to negotiate and stand firm once being properly informed about the entire check out and deposit return process by Dean, and was always shown the landlords replies and stance throughout. Without Sally Hatcher, I can’t imagine what our renting experience would have been like. Dean taught me enough from this experience that I will take with me in all future endeavours in property. As students it can be very difficult to find an estate agent that is in the renter’s favour. After myself and 2 of my housemates having such poor experiences with multiple estate agents within Canterbury, we were so thankful to find Sally Hatcher estates. Right from the house viewing until now they have been nothing but amazing and beyond helpful - particularly Dean Smith. Even after copious amounts of questions and emails he has never failed to respond within the hour or even minutes and always in a thorough and polite manner. He even went out of his way to advise us on how to arrange/manage bills, council tax etc which is so helpful for us as first-time renters! We would highly recommend Sally Hatcher estates, especially to other students and are so thankful for everything they have done for us so far!

We have to say how impressed we were with the service that Ben Johnson provided when supporting us to sell our property. His focus was on selling our house rather than on selling us a house. He was persistent but never pushy. His manner was infectious and he was able to sell our property, which was not easy to sell- we had been trying to sell for nearly two years-in a short space of time and for the asking price. Throughout the process, Ben explained the stages and prepared us for the next step. If you need someone who is passionate about helping people move on, then I can’t recommend Ben and Sally Hatcher enough.My daughter has also used Sally Hatcher to rent a property whilst at University. Communication was excellent and she felt supported during her two-year tenancy. Issues were dealt with promptly and we felt we could trust her. A very positive rental experience.

Myself and my fiancé have had a great experience from the whole team at Sally Hatcher Estates, communication being the strongest point for us, from start to finish, all other estate agents didn’t even bother getting in contact with us or helping when we had 2 weeks off work to complete viewings, Sally Hatcher Estates replied and assisted us in a matter of minutes, replied fast via email, was helpful on the phone and even came out so I could take a picture of washing machine connections in our new home. Honestly 5 star friendly service and helpfulness. They’re so far ahead of all other estate agents we dealt with and we dealt with a lot and tried getting communication from. From my first interaction with Sally hatcher estates to moving out, they have been nothing but helpful, responsive and kind. Sally is especially punctual with emails and communication. I would definitely give them a call If I find myself in Canterbury again.
