Great food. Came here with a couple of friends on a quiet Friday lunchtime and the food was fab. I had the duck starter and then the pork belly - both cooked impeccably. Staff were really friendly and the service was really well-timed. Really good experience.

We had a Christmas party with colleagues there. I loved my meal, and other meals looked delicious, too. The only criticism I have is that the Christmas pudding and the ice-cream on top were so sickly sweet, I could not eat it. I was still pressured to pay for it, and my comment was not well received (no one has yet said anything"

Outstanding pub with outside cabin/ chalet style double bed accommodation. Very modern rooms with everything you could want. Great bathroom and shower facilities too. Fantastic traditional Sunday dinner in the cosy pub restaurant with log fire. Highly recommend.

The food, drinks and service here are phenomenal. Staff are all so helpful and friendly. Landlady and her husband also so welcoming. The decor is really quirky and fun. Such a beautiful village pub. I just attended a wedding for 19 guests on a rainy summers day and the outdoor covered seating area was perfect. Indoor private function area was decorated beautifully with flowers and fairy lights.. very dreamy! The rooms are also perfection. 10/10! Really impressed!

This place is so amazing!! The staff are so lovely and really do take care of everything for you! We booked the room as we were shopping in Bicester and I’m so glad we used the chequers. The food is to die for and again the staff are amazing!! I could not recommend this place more!! We have had an amazing time and would definitely come back!

My wife and I had breakfast here one Friday morning and will most certainly be back. The gluten free breakfast butty was one of the best I've ever had, I'm still day dreaming about it. Gluten free meals are always a bit of a gamble but the ingredients used at the Chequers were delicious.

This was a favourite pub of ours and we were regular customers. Extremely disappointed with what used to be our favourite Sunday roast in Oxfordshire.Whilst the service was excellent the food has gone down hill and the decor is somewhat shabby and tired.Uncooked raw and inedible potatoes, beef riddled in fat, chewy calamari and a shrivelled up poor excuse for a brownie are the meal highlights.We won’t return.

Expensive for what it is. Food was far too expensive for what is merely a pub, plus they add a 12% service charge. Couldn't get parked on Friday night as the restaurant was busy with non-hotel guests and we just wanted to get in and nack to our room. Room size was reasonable and the accommodation was clean, and a nice shower w/c room. Needed a chair or unit to put a case on, rather than a pot plant in the corner.
