Better Gym

Really good gym for price (£25 for a normal adult membership. No contract!). All the equipment is currently new. There aren't any flourishes like hot tubs, pools or steam rooms nor is there a large weight lifting area but it has plenty of cardio and a decent selection of weights.I only wish that they would bring down the temperature in the men's changing room by a few degrees during the summer. You tend to leave the changing room sweatier than when you came in after your workout!

Has become a place no one would want to go to anymore. They've recently let the offspring of roadmen run rampant in here. It's a horrible atmosphere. Management know fully about it, so just inactivity there. Used to be a chill modern place where even the older generation could work on their health and not be disturbed or intimidated. Now it's like one class with a substitute teacher and early teens screaming and yelling, running around, throwing equipment at each other, crowding everywhere they go, being really disrespectful to any member. Not worth the perceived value. Pay for somewhere else and be around respectful people and management that will do something about antisocial behaviour.

This gym has been renovated including the disabled toilet and shower this in and edited review as during renovations works to these facilities took a lot longer.There is now a water fountain downstairs to fill water bottles which is excellent and so much easier if you have accessibility issues as the other water fountain is located upstairs.The staff however are excellent and super friendly. Gym equipment has been updated and extra machines added and more space to work out. Machines I need are all accessible downstairs and ladies changing rooms are spacious and clean. Hand sanitiser is available and cleaner for the machines.I enjoy this gym and following work with physio now do a healthwise for gym strengthening, I have gained some muscle and have learnt how to use the machine and go on other days than than healthwise programme. If I have any queries staff are happy to help.Accessing this gym is easy if you download the app you can book online for any of the better gyms and use your membership card in the app to access the gym. There are also a button at the gates if you need assistance. To exit the gym when you walk up to the gate it will open automatically.There are various lockers located in changing rooms and also downstairs near the disabled changing/toilet and you will need to bring a padlock if you want to lock your belongings inside.After renovations am really happy with this gym and find it has everything I need. Being able to get in, access to water, easy to use app, Friendly and helpful staff.The staff here are really great and answer your questions and can offer help where they can. They are knowledgeable about the equipment and are always extremely friendly.This gym is extremely affordable and the fact there is one on Lillie road and also in Hammersmith for me means I have more choices. I can also pick which one I want to use.To get into the gym you can come in on the right side of the novotel entrance past their underground parking and continue to the end of the building and is located on the left.If you come in from Hammersmith Broadway you going right at the L'Oréal building and on the left you go thru in the access point under the building with the wall and you can see a lift, past this crossing over the road the gym is on your right. There are some car parking spaces and there is an area for parking your bike.*since above review water fountain is under repair and the disabled toilet has not been working for quite a few weeks. There so work being carried in the water fountains and my hope is when it is completed will work again and the disabled toilet will work and shower. The disabled toilet and restroom in comparison to ladies shower room is very shabby and I have seen it used as somewhere to park a bicycle. It has cracked tiles and the toilet was not flushing and had leaks from it.

Amazing Centre ! recently rejoined I was here before the refurb and I am extremely happy with the service and cleanliness. I have been to many gyms and I have to say the men’s changing rooms are very clean and I feel safe using these facilities! Amazing classes and weights room works for me, could be a little bigger.

Very friendly lots of room

Horrific gym and company. Signed up online and cancelled as soon as I got there and saw the equipment. It’s probably been built in the 1970s and never touched afterwards. The odour was suffocating. Over 2 months have passed with no one answering the phone and I’m still waiting for a refund. The customer service is non-existent and they’re using Covid as an excuse to steal your money. Stay away.

I called over four weeks requesting personal training and was advised to send an email request. Three weeks after my email the response came back asking what my goals were. I responded clearly with my goals. To date I've yet to receive a response.

I go mainly to the pool which has been improved in recent years. Would like more natural light In the gym but some equipment has been improved buts a smaller simple gym. Good chest press tho

Joined this gym through my work scheme and I’m now a couple of months in – couldn’t be happier!The equipment is clean, modern and always in perfect working order. I do a quick workout on the way into the office and love that there’s a good array of cardio and weights in the main room so I can maximise my time. I haven’t spent much time on the other floors but they seem equally well equipped.Staff are always super helpful and friendly whenever I’ve needed anything, and the general gym atmosphere feels very welcoming.The changing rooms are always immaculate, plenty of space and decent sized lockers (you’ll need a padlock FYI!). Showers are perfectly functional for the bargain price of the gym and always clean, although it would be great to have a small shelf for your toiletries. My only other one piece of feedback would be that the lighting around the mirrors in the changing rooms isn’t great for doing your makeup – it’s too dark! Only a tiny thing though.Highly recommend – thanks for getting me back in my gym habit!

The gym has hardly any equipment considering it charges more than any of the other gyms in my area. I joined because my friend was at better so we could go together and it was the worst decision of my life. I cancelled a fitness class last week (that other people were still attending) because my doctor rang me last minute and asked me to come in for an appointment. Not only was I charged for the cancellation but I have since been banned from using any of the facilities for the foreseeable future! I can’t even go to the gym! It’s ridiculous! I will no doubt be ending my membership this month.
