Food ok - avoid mixed grill. Clearly more interested in takeaway customers than dining in. Even getting staff off the phone to pay by card proved impossible.

Placed an order for pickup and got told an hour. When I arrived an hour later I was then sat in the car waiting another 40 minutes. An hour is long enough to wait nevermind lying and leaving your customers outside the back door waiting longer. I've seen loads of reviews saying the same thing. Greedy owners!

I have used Li Wah as long as I can remember and has always been excellent. However tonight was my last ever time using them. We phoned to place an order for takeaway and was told to collect it round the back( even though all covid measures have been dropped) turns up when told to do so 20 minutes later and sat in car for a further 25 minutes!!! When the order is finally brought out she says cash only round the back...which we were not informed of when placing order. So she says give me your bank card and I will take it through and tap it on the machine herself (I don't think so!!!) Anyway we ended up driving away without food and never to return!!!!

So I rang up asking if I could place an order for delivery and the guy in the phone just said we don’t deliver it’s just collection only and then hung up as I said ohh ok no problem without saying any apologies or a goodbye. I found that pretty rude and poor customer service!

Worst service ever. Waited an hour for starter then over 30 mins for main. Staff couldn't care less.. more interested chatting to each other than taking empty plates/bottles away or bringing food out. Hubby had to send his meal back it was so overcooked then got questioned by one of the cooks who wasnt happy. Asked for two portions of prawn crackers.. only received one but theytried to charge for two. They obviously prioritise the takeaway orders over dine in. Used to be nice in its day. Will not return.

Used this place for years, never again. Put my order in at 5.20 the guy said 1 hour arrived at 6.15 bug que of people, waited another 1/2 hour, nothing so I rang him and asked what's happening he said there on it now. Another 1/2 hour went by nothing, so I rang again he said it would be another 15 minutes to which I replied cancel my order I'll go somewhere else. Went to the Happiness Inn on station Rd in znd out in 15 minutes

Delicious great value food at this restaurant that is an old establishment here in Billingham. The owner told me they've had the restaurant 50 years!We went at the end of the lunch on a Saturday and there were 4 other tables so there was a nice relaxed ambience.The lunch menu is incredible value, 3 courses for 6.50. Mum & dad had soup of the day (minestrone with bread roll), beef with vegetables, battered prawns and chips, ice cream and pineapple. I had a main off the normal menu - peking beef (doesn't come battered/crispy) with chips. We had teaa for drinks.We were really looked after and the final bill was extremely reasonable. Really recommend coming for a casual weekend lunch and supporting this local establishment

We had two main courses and two sides with drinks under £30. Food was hot and tasty. A special word for the staff who were friendly.
