Screwfix Maldon
Really glad that we've at last got a Screwfix in Maldon. It's quite a small store but I managed to buy what I wanted. Staff were friendly and it's definitely a worthwhile addition to the retail scene. Access to the car park is immediately after a roundabout and could be easily missed. The exit from the parking area isn't clearly signposted and is strange as you have to drive through the forecourts of adjoining units.

I went to Screwfix at Maldon to get a shower bar for our caravan.I’m getting a bit old in the tooth so I needed help to order the item I required.The young lady who served me was unbelievably helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. I felt immediately comfortable carrying out my purchase.Her name was Ellie I think.Screwfix should be proud of their staff if they all like this young lady.It was a pleasure

Oh my! So products as always very good but service left a lot to be desired. Maldon branch seems to be run by several young teenagers who don't really care. Had to click and collect due to Covid. All.other diy places are fully open but not here, even though its a counter service only. Bought very expensove drill and decided when I was there I needed some drill bits which I'd not been able to find on the website. Topd very rudely that I had to order on line. Why? I was there. 6 staff were stood around chatting. When I did order I was then told one item, raw plugs, were out of stock and wouldn't be in for several days. Couldn't cancel my order. Apparently that's not allowed. Seriously get some staff who care.

I use Screwfix quite often. Most items I buy are online orders and when I collect I'm out in les than five minutes. The staff are professional and well on it. Can not fault them.
