FOW Trafford

First time at FOW Manchester. Gutted.Terrible experience. Booked and reserved car for test drive. Car was perfect specs. Firstly the boot had cigarette ash sprinkled everywhere. Inside it stank really strong of cigarettes. Before I even test drove the car I find cig butt in steering area (see image). I can still smell cigarettes whilst writing this. Shame as FOW I perceived a decent company. Reception staff were polite. Zero stars if I could. Wasted my time.

I'll start with the positives. When I phoned to book a test drive the person on the phone was super helpful and friendly. It was the same when I arrived for my test drive - reception were lovely. I was given the key to the car so that I could go and look around it and sit in it and check I liked it. I was allowed to do this alone which I really appreciated - no pressure from a sales person.After looking around the car and liking it I headed back to reception for my test drive. I was taken through to the waiting area, but on the way the receptionist was told quite rudely by the sales person, that there would be at least a 30 min wait as they were busy.The receptionist apologized and was quite embarrassed and asked if I wanted to wait or reschedule.I didn't do either. I wasn't going to hang around after someone had been rude and made it very obvious that even though I had made an appointment and arrived on time, they actually didn't care about my custom. I would rather spend my money somewhere else. I hate to think what the after care is like if you actually buy a car.

Appointment booked for 12 but looked like the salesman over booked as we had a bit of a wait to see another salesman.Jamie was very polite and patient and very informative about everything when he came to see us and I couldn't fault him. We've purchased a car so hopefully all's well

Ref Trustpilot, FOW said the car will come with two keys (remotes) and after paying my money I went to pick the car up and found there was only one remote and one useless skeleton key, if I had known this I would have not bought the car. FOW insists two keys have been supplied as this is how it is logged on their system. They had my money so I was basically stuffed. I have since been quoted £500 for an essential backup key.Next time I buy a car I will insist on seeing both keys before I part with my money as this was a very expensive mistake on my part.

We were lucky enough to have Sarah from Sales Department. She has been extremely helpful, very friendly and an outstanding professional.She did her best to take the stress away from us and kept us updated throughout the process of car selection and test drive.Unfortunately we cannot say the same for FOW in Winsford. Do not expect any sort of good experience there. The managers need to educate their salesmen with some manners. Also the waiting time is ridiculous even if you have prebooked an appt.FOW at Trafford is smaller and gives you the 1-1 experience that you desperately need when buying a car.Thank you Sarah for being absolute stellar!5 stars for Sarah at Trafford (and the girls in the reception).

Myself and my partner came here today 12/09 to look at a Mercedes AMG. We were both very interested in the car and wanted to take it for a test drive and discuss options for purchasing the car following the test drive, but we were refused a test drive following a very brief chat with a rude salesman who put pressure on us to discuss deposit options and buying the car immediately which clearly wasn’t a chat we were going to have without driving it first. Awful customer service and overall a very disappointing experience as we would most likely have purchased it if the test drive went well. Not a nice way to treat customers. We will purchase a similar car at a different car sales business purely based on this treatment.

By far, one of the best teams of staff iv dealt with!Every member of staff i spoke to was polite, helpful and well knowledged on any query i had.Sarah was my sales executive, who went that extra mile to help me secure the right deal, and more so kept me informed of all details during the PDI process. A credit to the company! Thank you all!!

I dealt with Sarah at the Trafford branch and it was a delightful experience. Friendly, not pushy but encouraging and helpful. When I said I wanted to think and had other cars to test she said she'd not let anyone take the car for a test drive that day so I had time to think. Super communication in the days leading up to collection with a minor repair that was needed. Service, MOT and a full tank of petrol included. Really great experience start to finish! No issues with the car so far either, which you always worry about, but RAC guarantee gives me peace of mind if there is.Will be back to Sarah for my next car!

Friendly staff and professional salesman. Much better than other dealerships in the area. So helpful in regards to buying me first car. Very welcoming and great service

Just a shame they don't display the prices any more, Instead you now scan the ticket in the windscreen. We found many cars without the scan code and their web page takes an age to respond. Shame as I bought my last car from them.
