I recently discovered a culinary haven that defies the norms of pub fare. The highlight of my visit was not just the inviting atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks, but the unexpected delight of high-quality food that won't dent your wallet.And when you visit, do hope for the pleasure of having Mihaela as your waitress, she'll undoubtedly enhance your dining experience with her warmth and professionalism.

They were clearly understaffed as we had to wait for around 10 mins at the bar to place our food order. The app never seems to work to order in this restaurant.We waited around 30 mins to get our food.I was really disappointed in my Gammon Steak as it was dry and tough to cut.The egg has been overcooked and was congealed.My Son had the Sea bass and the mash that came with it was served literally as if it had been tipped out of the pot it was clearly microwaved in as you could see the imprint of the container - they hadn't even attempted to make any kind of presentation of it.The Halloumi fries started is the same size as what you now get served for the mains in the sizzling dish which since they've changed the menu is an absolute rip off ! You used to get 3 big chunks of battered Halloumi but now you get 6 chip sized breaded crumbed bits.The older blonde lady that greets customers is always grumpy and quite honestly the place has really gone downhill over the last year or so.shame as it used to be really good.

Excellent end but I had my greatest night of karaoke ever. It’s very difficult to believe that my experience actually happened. For reasons I can’t explain nobody in Charvil likes to sing karaoke, except for handful of people, but they all like to go and listen to karaoke, so when I got up I was able to whale. I think I sang like seven or eight songs. By the end of the evening people were making requests and I got an offer to do a duet Which I did. Love shack.I will be back!. Well, maybe not I don’t know. I think I’ve spent too much time in this part of England.

We stayed two nights here last weekend a a group of 12 golfers.Was absolutely perfect for us. The rooms were great, the bar and food were perfect for every meal and the staff even arranged us a private room to hold our presentation at the end of the weekend,Perfect location for vicinity to golf courses and a bus stop right outside to take us into Reading for a night out.Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

It's was okay for the price. It's good access to the dual carriage way which takes you to many locations. But what you're getting is very low budget.The rooms don't have air con so it will be hot and stuffy during the summer. They provided a single, very weak fan.I found the service incredibly slow. You'd find yourself standing at reception for over 10 minutes most of the time as it's unmanned or they just completely ignore you while doing other things. They wouldn't even let you know they'd get round to serving you. You won't get anything until you shout for attention. And even once they received your request, they were really slow. This was a consistent experience over 2-3 days with different staff members.Oh and the continental breakfast is very basic. You're better off just going to the aldi.At least the hotel rooms were clean...

We decided to stay as my son had a party to attend. So on first sight of the room I first thought wasn’t to bad but after a few minutes being in there all I could smell was damp this triggered my arthritis quite badly also the material on the bed board was peeling off and made me feel so uncomfortable. we ended up leaving i can honestly say I’ll never go there again

I think you get what you pay for here. Its cheap & cheerful. The rooms are nice mostly clean & tidy however we did have a slight leak in the toilet & there was only 1 set of towels. The restaurant doesn't really cater for food allergies & I had to take my own milk again. We were staying for 2 nights and there was no offer to get in what I needed for breakfast. This happened last time we stayed as well. The rooms have had new windows put in so at least you can't hear the traffic now.
