A fantastic choice of beautiful food. Great portions and sitting in the sun outside, what could be better on Devonshire Street in Carlisle. Extrely Friendly,helpful staff-couldnt do enough for you ;)Whilst I didn't sample the extensive list of cocktails available,due Rodriguez I will definitely be back to do so!Definately a hidden diamond that must be sampled!

Lovely friendly and helpful staff.Good varied menu and excellant gluten free seperate menu.Chilled out atmosphere. The wine list was also good.Would highly recommend

Le Gall is now a quaint cocktail bar. Found this place after walking around looking for a bar that wasn't blasting out overly loud music, and we were very pleasantly surprised. Great cocktails, wines, beers and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Another sad day in Carlisle. After 18 years of trading Le Gall has shut up shop for the last time. The city is becoming a ghost town with the amount of shops/ restaurants and bars closing down.

Went here for a friend's surprise birthday. Drinks were super reasonable and the staff were great. Had a brilliant night!

Searched everywhere for somewhere in Carlisle that does poached eggs, eventually found this place and couldn't be more dissapointed. It was a few weeks ago but just drove past and had a flashback of the trauma. Not sure how you can make eggs, hollandaise and spinach taste like nothing but textured water. By this point we were starving but couldn't physically eat it.Maybe other breakfast dishes are OK but we won't be trying them. Coffee was drinkable.

Visited today 19th june for luch.Opted for the fish platter, it was excellent.Denise the owner was bustling about making sure all her customers were happy, and still looking only 30. Great place to eat and have a great pint. Oh yeah, and the free wi fi works fine.

It was my birthday and the family were all working or busy, so I decided to go for a meal on my own! I can honestly say the best decision ever! I had the steak and ale pie, and I swear it was so big I struggled and finally asked to take the rest home for later and found that this was not a bother to the staff at all. The flavour was excellent and the atmosphere upmarket but still a fine welcome to everybody that came through the door.The wine list was extensive with good restaurant self reviews that were right and I have to say the whole experience was wonderful.Thanks for a lovely birthday!

We came as they have a great gluten free menu and I’m glad we did. Food was amazing and it’s not fast food “it’s great food as fast as they can” I had the bacon burger which was brilliant, fries were crisp and fluffy on the inside. I’ve lived in Carlisle my whole life and can’t believe I’ve only just visited now.

Lovely busy place. Plenty of choices for food and drinks. Good portion sizes. Reasonable price. The beer was very nice said hubby so he stuck to that and I had lovely wine.
