Really well preserved windmill, and as with many National Trust places to visit, the staff are highly engaged and invested. The lady who acted as our guide, forgot to catch her name, was very well informed and had a genuine interest in the construction, to the point that she’d taken an interest in carpentry - she was a great guide! For what it costs, even though you won’t spend hours there, it’s definitely worth it as a point of interest.

Typical NT site - well sign posted and clearly described.Beautiful windmill not far from Bembridge Beach near the RNalI lifeboat station. Great beach, clean, easy to access and shallow depth for 50'+ wading.Windnill is stunning example of hostrocial flour mill.Great location with easy parking.Short trip and worth taking.Enjoy!

Such a magical place, check on opening days and times but it has plenty to offer when it's closed surrounded by path ways and open orchard. The kids love it, great place to let your imagination run free. Parking in lay by and a very short walk.

Nice trip to the windmill. There was a lovely volunteer who had so much knowledge. The kids loved looking for the mice and playing in the mud kitchen.

Lovely to do something quieter on the island. Very friendly and informative staff. They were great with the kids and even organised a sack race. Little mud kitchen provided some imaginative play . climb the windmill and finding the resident mice families.

Great bit of history. We went with 4 kids and they loved it. To see the workings of the windmill was fascinating. A real step back in time. The staff were very informative.

While driving in the area, we saw a sign for the Bembridge Windmill and decided to take a look. Parking was outside a gate and walk in through a wide smooth path. Very well preserved tower mill used for milling corn for animal feed, with 4 magnificent sails. Due to time constraints we could not go in, however the kids had some ice cream sold at the little entry shack.

Great to see the last windmill on the IOW and although it is not working by being able to climb up inside gives you an idea to it's past operation. Audio commentary on each floor and a video showing how flour used to be produced adds to the experience. A nice tea van for drinks and snacks but no other facilities .
