For years and years I refused to do therapy / see someone like Sharon,I loved the idea for others and would encourage anyone to seek help / therapy, but was set in my ways for myself and that it wasn’t for me. I couldn’t have been more wrong! I am a good few months or so in, and now I go very regularly, I look forward to my session and download with Sharon.I feel that even the most random and difficult thoughts and feelings I have had / I do have - are okay to talk about.Things I might not want to or I’m not sure how to verbalise are heard by sharon.Insula Wellbeing have been a huge part of my journey and without their service I know I wouldn’t be sitting in the position I am now. Diagnosis has been a whirlwind journey and without the close link Insula Wellbeing have with the Dr I’ve been seeing, I would still be at square one.It will continue to be a long journey for me, but I’m on that path with the best professionals around me. Sharon has been able to speak with my partner when needed and has left a lasting impression there too, with how easy she is to talk to.Sharon is always available if & when needed, and nothing is too much trouble.Sharon can see and listens to the words you don’t say as well as the ones you do, and from our initial phone call, I have felt like I could trust her with those unsaid things just as much as the spoken ones. It’s important in these journeys that you connect with the person you are seeing, I didn’t realise how important this was at the start, but now it’s something I actively think about because but everyone is lucky enough to feel the way I do in my appointments.I would urge anyone who is struggling .. reach out to insula well-being it will be the start of the journey you didn’t know you needed to take. I have also met with Jessica and that session I had with her was something I so deeply needed but at the time, I didn’t know I needed it nor did I know how much of that session I would use regularly. The ladies here are compassionate, empathetic, professional, approachable, considerate, kind, patient, supportive, insightful, trustworthy, open, honest and very attentive. I cannot recommend Insula Well-being highly enough! These ladies are that little light on a dark and stormy day, they will build on your strengths and one of the biggest things for me has been, Sharon has made me see things about myself I didn’t know existed, she has also given me a hand up where I’ve been pushed down before, and one of the most important things I’ve learned from Sharon is - illness or no illness - it was never my fault.
