Cheltenham Spa Station Car Park

My train arrived an hour and 20 minutes late, and because of the track issues at tewkesbury, it wasnt just my train that was late. My dad who arrived 10 mins after my train was scheduled to arrive found that the short stay pickup/drop off car park was completely full and he ended up having to park down in this main car park for about an hour and 10 minutes because it was the only place he could park to wait that long (which he didnt mind, but he minds the £100 fine in the post as he nor i even knew that car park was pay and display or even monitored as it is to my knowledge, only mentioned on the several paragraph long unlit welcome sign (which i only discovered existed when looking on streetview today) that you'd have missed at 5pm in november, especially while pulling into the carpark from the road.) I just do not understand why there is no communication or kind of system to prevent this happening when multiple trains are delayed or cancelled and the short stay car park is completely full, or even why the short stay car park cant be made bigger as it is often near or at capacity at rush hour times.

I am a season pass holder as I commute daily from Cheltenham to Bristol for work and park my car at Cheltenham Spa train station. With no proper communication, no compensation, nor providing and alternative solutions, APCOA, the company that manages the car park, decided to close the car park for a week due to the Horse Races in Cheltenham.All we had was a notice in their website and in the car park that says the car park will be closed. So what happens to the season pass holders then? Where do we park as we need to go to work daily? Not a single email, FAQ on the website, nothing.Only way to contact them is thru webchat. Person on the webchat said they will investigate and email to me, no emails...Messaged to GWR on their social media, no response...Simply, outrageous and GWR shouldn't work with such unprofessional car park operators.

Often not any parking here it’s constantly a full carpark. The other day I had to park in the drop off only area and leave my car there for a day. I paid but still risked getting a £100 fine. Be very wary of counting on the fact that you can park here. Other than that you have to pay online via Apcoa app which also isn’t great as 1 day doesn’t mean 24 hours parking so you have to buy 2 days if you’re leaving your car overnight

Good parking with plenty of spaces and bays are decent size. I would use it again.Using app is easy to setup as well.

Not enough carpark space. I couldn't park my car.

Would be fka perfectly fine carpark if they didn't operate with the worst parking app on Android.Also requires you to enter your car registration plate if you want to pay by card. This does not help when you're in a rush for a train.This car park made me miss my train with it's poor service. Abysmal.

Precious little waiting car space, mostly devoted to only Cheltenham taxis.

Cheltenham Spa station has a short term car park where you can stop for twenty minutes while picking someone up or collecting tickets.

Loads of spaces, good prices. Very close to train station.
