Coach Sam is absolutely brilliant with the kids and we feel fortunate to have access to such a talented and kind coach locally at Hollingbury. Kids are absolutely loving their tennis and progressing quickly. Could not recommend the Hollingbury park junior tennis programs more highly.

We played 2 great sets. Both close in games. Good company too.

Great courts although might get harassed by the club asking you to cough up a fiver, hate those guys

Update:As of April 2023 the courts are no longer free, £6 an hour and you have to book in advance online.Incredibly disappointing and won't be returning.Old review:Brilliant courts. Free to use, just make sure you take your own rackets and balls. There are certain times the courts are reserved for clubs, please see photo attached for correct times as of June 2022.

Worth supporting. Use it or lose! Brighton & Hove corrupt council would rather their buddy developers build on it.

Since the courts were resurfaced and fences upgraded, Hollingbury Park has some of the best outdoor, all-weather tennis facilities around. It’s a great set-up with a friendly, community feel. My 7 year-old daughter had tennis lessons with the coach, Jonny, for over a year and loved it. Jonny new exactly how to get the best out of their time together and importantly, made her first tennis experience a fun one (“squash the frog” being a firm favourite). We’ve paused for the winter but will definitely pick up again in the new year. Can’t recommend the Club and Jonny highly enough.

Poor courts, no proper toilets or cleaning facilities. No seats but friendly staff.. no near shop and we wouldn't go again

We had a great 2-1 lesson with Jonny where he helped us up our game straight away. He's a focused but easy-going teacher who knows his stuff! The courts near Varndean are great to play on and in a nice area of town.
