I know everyone has different needs and expectations for a surgery, but I called today for a smear test, waited a few minutes to get through and have an appointment tomorrow. First time I’ve needed an appointment, but so far so good. My husband has also had very positive experiences.

Have been a patient for 20+ years, this used to be a good surgery, now it is an absolute shambles.Have been trying to get an appointment with a doctor for over 4 months; to date have had 3 telephone consultations and 2 appointments with a nurse practitioner, who is absolutely clueless and has all the charm of a disgruntled Grizzly bear!I'm now at the stage of having to go private because clearly I'm expecting too much wanting to be seen by a Doctor with a rudimentary understanding of medicine at a 'Doctors Surgery'!!

Useless. over these past 2 years I've had to call every single time for a repeat prescription that they should have provided from the start. it;s no wonder they are known as the worst GP in all of dorset. and from the awful service i have recieved from them, it seems they take pride in being the worst. my message to them is as follows. stop being useless". oh and did i mention the fact that when i called them for help they almost let my mother die? i had to call an ambulance for her (she survived but is still stuck in a care center). but the marine surgery paramedics turned up AFTER I told them that she had gone to hospital (this was 2 days later). if you are going to live in Southbourne or Tuckton. Do not go to this surgery. it is not worth your time or even trusting your life to."

I have never had any problems with this surgery & recently had an extremely good experience which has prompted me to write this review, each member of staff I have dealt with has been really professional and helpful

Honestly wish I could give 0 stars, such rude staff on the phone. Why they employ people who are like this and careless in a this profession I don’t know. Go and work in a call centre. Painful experience just to get a prescription I’ve already had. Will be going private from now on, because to be in a vulnerable situation and to be met with rude staff is just beyond me.

It is so frustrating to get to speak to a doctor at this practice. I have done the email and they respond with to call and make a telephone appointment instead of a response on email or for them to call me without making an appointment. I made a telephone appointment which I had to wait 4 weeks for and stressing that I will miss the call. The doctor was great with the issue I booked the appointment for but then I got a letter in the post the next day to say I need to book a telephone appointment to discuss results of a blood test! Why didn’t the doctor who spoke to me the day before, pick up on this and speak to me about it then! So I go to the surgery to make another appointment as quicker than calling! Was told appointment full today and to try another day! So I go up earlier today to be told I can’t have an appointment today as it’s not urgent and the earliest is 4th May and that was a cancellation! I know you will say about staff shortages but this is causing unnecessary stress to patients. I am considering moving to another surgery where friends say they don’t have this issue!

For the last 10 years this surgery and it's staff have been responsible for our healthcare, I must say that all Doctors,Nursing and administrators have been a god send to us, they have been attentive and always professional.I do understand that the pressure on most GP surgeries can be a frustration to many, but Marine Surgery and it's hard working staff have always been there for us.A sincere thank you to all from the Leonard's.
