My name is Nigel Murrin and I don't have a google account so I am using a friends , I would like to say I had my boat craned out of the water at Brandy Island for the winter, whilst it was out Greg and his team did anti fouling and mechanical service work for me. I have to say I couldn;t be more pleased with the standard of work and the friendly attitude shown by all his staff, well done and thank you I highly recommend this company.

Great experience. Everyone gets to develop a couple of new skills. On day 1 have tranquilizers available until everyone learns their jobs.

Avalon V...we love you!We have just got back today from a four night cruise on the Thames.Avalon may not have youth on her side but she makes up for that with charm and character.I must say I think Cotswold Boat Hire are under selling this little (big) gem!There were two adults and two 16 year old boys on our trip...and a dog.The double cabin at the rear was comfortable enough and had plenty of storage space. Adjacent to this was the rear toilet and shower which again was more than satisfactory.The kitchen is superbly kitted out with a large, split fridge freezer and full size sink and drainer. The gas oven with a four burner hob was great and there were more than enough pots and pans, cutlery and utensils (maybe a Cafetiere would be a good idea but we took our own). There was also a washing sponge, tea towel and washing up liquid.The lounge area is spacious and has more storage space. The mechanism for opening and closing the roof is a good daily workout (in addition to the locks) however simple enough to operate. One of the cupboards has a tv with aerial and a cigarette lighter thingy to plug a normal plug into...sorry, couldn't find the words. All the power on the boat is through this method so don't be thinking you'll be charging a laptop and a handful of mobiles whilst watching tv....we did none of this and the escapism was really nice however there is mobile / 4G reception on 90% of the river. There is also a DAB radio with desktop speakers and the reception was great...cant get Absolute 80's out of our heads (showing our age).The front bedroom is deceptively spacious and was more than big enough for the two 5'10 teens. This again had loads of storage and a toilet / shower room en suite.We travelled from Lechlade to Oxford and back

We picked up the boat from the The Trout at Lechlade, it was my partners birthday. The boat was ready and waiting for us. A staff member escorted us down the river showing us the where to be on the river until we arrived a the first lock then we were on our own.We had a great time slowly meandering along the river only stopping for the locks and lunch. After lunch continuing along the river before it was time to head back. If you want a relaxing time away from it all I can recommend this.

Staff very helpful on the run up to hiring, giving advice on suitability and timings. We didn't get as far as we would have liked but the captain was extremely impressed with the electric motor and the ease of switching batteries. A shame about some of the fishermen but that is nothing to do with the company. Competent and helpful.

There are not enough positive adjectives to described the Customer Service provided by Shirley at Cotswold Boat Hire. She goes over and above all other service I have ever received to ensure that you receive and enjoy the best possible boating experience. Indeed, the best possible holiday experience. I am so impressed and appreciative of all Shirley's efforts to make my holiday the best!! Thank you, Rita and Thane

What a wonderful day - so peaceful and such a friendly community of river users I totally recommend a day in a boat with these guys - take a picnic, lots of drinking water and someone you love

Superb experience! Excellent customer service, booked direct over the phone less than an hours notice. Upgraded to a larger boat to ensure we had a comfortable time. Easy instructions on how to use the boat, given a brief safety briefing and told to enjoy ourselves. :)Beautiful location down the river, even had a fly over from the local armed forces which made our day after seeing some of the local wildlife too

We had 2 nights with 3 adults and 2 dogs on Jozel. The river is very peaceful there are people to help with the locks. As the whole thing is manageable you can relax and enjoy the countryside. The booking process was easy and friendly as was the arrival process. The boat is well equipped with everything you would need. There are lots of pubs by the side of the river -on this occasion, we didn't use them as we felt we would need to pre-book COVID :( however, we will use them next time.
