We shipped items by Sea from the UK to South Australia, it took quite a bit longer than we expected but the service was generally good and importantly everything arrived in the same condition in which it left :-) I would recommend.

I moved my household effects from London to New Zealand in April 2023. I found the sales teams very helpful and negotiated a better rate from them after comparison to competitors. On the day of the move the packing team arrived about 3 hours ahead of schedule and as I still had to organise quite a bit in a one bed apartment this was not a great way to start off for me. They worked at a very fast pace and everything packed up and on the truck within about 4 hours - not really a positive in hindsight! The shipping took 12 weeks and with customs checks I had the goods delivered by NZ Van Lines early August. The NZ delivery team were totally brilliant - friendly and easy to deal with. They arrived bang on time and unloaded everything into the rooms I gave them direction on plus unpacked all the furniture and have said they will pick up the rest of the packaging when it suits me.So to unpacking and what should be a joyous occasion to be reunited with your belongings! Firstly, I would thoroughly recommend that you have one person overseeing each packer to give them direction on what they are doing because they are just so CARELESS or at the very least give them strict directions before they begin - don't assume anything!I had carefully placed some designer handbags into a chest of drawers for protection and these were subsequently removed and thrown into a box with heavier items on top and now my Prada handbag is ruined! Shoes that weren't in shoe boxes (thank god the majority were) were just tossed into boxes. Other items were broken and scratched eg. solid wood table and desk legs flimsily wrapped up together rather than individually. Conversely, cheap kitchen items (far cheaper than expensive dining tables and desks) were mostly wrapped excessively.God knows where the TV remote ended up, no sign of it - why they wouldn't have taped it to the back of the TV I cannot fathom - just no consideration for the customer unpacking at the other end and making it easy for us.This is the third time I have done an international move and by far the worst experience in terms on damage/packaging so I would strongly recommend that John Mason looks carefully at who they are subcontracting these services to. And also advise clients on how to manage the process while the packers are in the house - ie. they need to be supervised! So needless to say I am putting in a hefty insurance claim...
