Used to really like this coffee shop. Then the price went up… £3.20 for an espresso, hurts my heart.

Excellent coffee shop. Some of the best espresso/coffee and pastries in the city. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.Staff are always incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable, will be coming back often.

Famtastic little bakery.I accidentally found it while strolling around and couldn't resist going inside.I was server with excellent coffee and a danish pastry from the friendly manager. I also bought a baguette which was amazing! If I lived in Nottingham I would come every day.

Been here 4-5 times before work! Really great coffee and cant wait for the extension! However had 1 disappointing experience with the coffee I had recently. The milk was not thick and there was no latte art either. It wasn’t as smooth as it usually is. Not sure if the lady was a new barista but unfortunately this coffee was bad compared to the great coffees I had before with the other 2 baristas! Still I do recommend and hopefully this can be reviewed, thanks!

Currently takeaway only, but they intend to knock down a temporary internal wall and create a larger space.Buying in very high quality coffee beans.Whilst I was there a steady flow of customers. My espresso, complexity of intense flavour notes.Outside Nottingham Station, adjacent to Nottingham Canal, diagonally opposite 200 Degrees. A little group of coffee shops inside and outside Nottingham Station, Costa, Starbucks, 200 Degrees, Caffè Nero, and now the only one worth visiting , Økende. When customers complain coffee is expensive, compared with what?Compared with a greasy spoon cafe masquerading as a coffee shop where they buy the cheapest coffee beans, don't invest in staff or equipment, don't care what they serve, Økende will appear expensive. The corporate coffee chains, a little cheaper than Økende, are a rip off, a high price charged for poor quality coffee, dodge tax, only charge a little less.If want high quality coffee, then pay the growers more than Fair Trade, which pays a tiny premium above commodity price maintains growers in poverty as no premium for quality, invest in equipment, pay baristas a decent salary, then expect to pay a little more for your cup of coffee.

Really nice coffee, once they’ve got the whole place opened up it will likely be a really nice place to take a pause.

Excellent coffee and pastries, very close to the railway station. Staff was very friendly. Quite small venue for now, but are working on expanding it's size and seating options. Will definitely be coming here again!

The pastries are sublime. It seems that they are made with some really good flour and generous amounts of butter, results in the being crispy, slightly savory and very moist inside. Delicious.Location and opening times are great, as well as the service. Been served by three different staff members on different days, they all were so friendly!P.S. Would be great to have an option to add some butter to the croissant or to have some savory croissants options on offer x
