8 Carpenters Cottages Holiday Cottage, North Norfolk

A lovely stay again. New walks discovered and old haunts revisited, there’s always more to do than we can fit into a week. The cottage, as ever, was warm, welcoming (fresh flowers and cake!) and even though you are only minutes walking away from the shops, pubs and restaurants of an interesting little town, is amazingly quiet. Holt and 8 Carpenters are both well worth a visit.

A wonderful break in this super house that felt very homely, thank you so much Anne. Central location in such a good town for walking round incl Spouts Hill and for visits along the coast to Blakeney, Overstrand, Burnham Market, Holkham etc. A delightful and restful place, supported over chilly nights by an excellent electric blanket. A lovely stay in a lovely cottage - Anne is the perfect host-owner, she’s thought of everything!

A very clean and comfortable cottage in a great location. A supper market car park at the rear of the cottage, in the center of Holt town and within a few miles of many places of interest. Impossible to find fault and when you have been you will want to go again.Lewis and Anita Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

Delighted with our stay at Carpenters Holiday Cottage - location was perfect, being right in the centre of Holt but also being very quiet; the best of both worlds. Plenty of room in the cottage, and with all the usual amenities - cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, Smart TV, etc., and unusually a lovely upright piano to play. Holt was a great place to be based - lots of walking, well connected with buses and a wonderful steam train to Sheringham a mile or so from the centre. Very much recommended.

We stayed for a week in December, and the cottage was cozy and warm despite the low temperatures outside! It had just been redecorated and a new shower installed which was lovely. The bed and sofa were both comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots and pans and utensils. There's a dishwasher and washing machine which is a big bonus! Parking was easy with a clearly marked car parking space about 90 seconds away from the front door. Both Budgens and the town centre are just around the corner so it's a very convenient place to be. We loved our stay here and would stay again without hesitation.

We had a lovely week in this delightful little cottage. There was everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, the seating area was perfect, the bed was very comfy and the large shower was nice and powerful. We enjoyed sitting outside and it was nice to see your neighbours and have little chats with them. We cooked a few nights and had take aways the other nights. We did not eat out as we enjoyed eating at the table in the cottage and then just relaxing. The added extras of the milk, tea, coffee and cake was appreciated along with the pretty flowers in the living room and the bedroom. If we return to Holt, we would definitely look to staying here again.

A wonderful cottage, so easy to find and park. A cool cottage in the middle of a heat wave. One of the best cottages we have ever booked. Everything you might need is either in the cottage or just a short stroll away.

Really nice end cottage, hidden in a really quiet corner, only two minutes walk from the town centre. Ideal place to spend a quiet holiday. One bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room . It has its own parking space too . WiFi and washing machine, plus it even has a piano. Ideal location for the North Norfolk coast, The Holt to Sheringham Heritage Railway and a few National Trust sites. Holt is a very nice place. We enjoyed The Kings Head pub. We'll worth a visit.

Having visited Holt for many years, we have never before been so warmly welcomed as we were just over a week ago, on our first stay at No 8 Carpenters Cottages!Tucked away in a hidden corner, quiet and pretty, it was hard to believe that we were more conveniently located for all of Holt’s considerable and very special attractions than we have ever been before!This warm, comfortable cottage proved to be the perfect base from which to explore not only the town, but all the delights of North Norfolk.

I booked the Cottage for a long weekend stay over the days of Christmas, 2021.Directions to the Cottage in Holt were very clear and concise. So no problem finding the location and the parking.The Cottage is meticulously maintained inside and out, and to my mind, very well equipped.I spent 4 lovely days there, and didn't really want to leave!!It was ideal for me because I was travelling by myself, but would be just as appropriate for a couple.Beautifully cosy inside. Fully adjustable heating to fit your needs. Piping hot shower.Minutes walk from the centre of Holt with it's shops, restaurants, and pubs etc.Ten minutes drive from Blakeney and the beautiful North Norfolk coast.
