Greasy, oil soaked, soggy batter on the fish. No seasoning at all on the fish itself, and it was horribly overcooked, tasted like I was eating cardboard. The chips are a travesty. Mushy and cold and falling apart. I didn’t know you could mess up chips this badly.

After reading the recent reviews, I was a bit worried about going to try it out as the new local. I was pleasantly surprised to see that on the wall they had a top 40 UK fish and chip shop 2023 sign up, and when we brought the food home it was quite delicious. The cod was well cooked and batter crispy and the chips were good chippy chips. Will gladly go again.

Awful food.£20 for vegan banana blossom, chips and a vegan battered sausage. I get vegan food can be pricey plus the Deliveroo charges on top. Wouldn't be so much of an issue if it was nice. I remember getting some banana blossom fish" from Bristol years ago and the batter was dry and crispy (in a good way) and banana blossom was flakey (so can be done) so was excited when I saw this locally. Batter was so stodgy

Had 3 lots of fish and chips. Each one The fish was cold. The chips were cold and like cardboard even the 2 pots of curry was cold and like sludge. Would never have food from here again. Go back to Five Star llandaff North

I feel this place goes up and down constantly. Ordered curry and chips and the chips were like boiled potatoes. Service was good but I do think that the chips or how they are cooked need improving

Misleading website and rude member of staff - I paid £30 for my meal to be prepared for pick-up at 4pm, but the shop does not open until 16:30, I later found out. As I had never been to the shop before, I wasn’t to know this. I simply followed the website prompts.When I arrived a member of staff was rude to me, and made me feel that I had greatly inconvenienced him because their website was wrong. He repeatedly pointed out in an aggressive manner that I shouldn’t have made an early order through the website.I waited 40 minutes for fish and chips, but there were several walk-ins who received their orders before me. Once prepared, the food was pretty good, but I’m reluctant to return after the way I was spoken to.

Brilliant menu serving top class food. An awesome selection of choice of fish, cod, haddock, hake to items rare items such as calamari. Their chips weren't limp or soggy, crisp and really crunchy on the outside while fluffy and soft inside as what chips should be. Fantastic experience. Recommend trying to all

Thought we would try the posh chip shop, however same as many others in the area that cannot fry fish in batter, all undercooked and soggy, chips also soggy, see photos, will not be buying again, not recommended

The cod is fresh with a fairly decent crispy batter & the Battered sausages do the job when you want to eat unhealthily. The chips are hit and miss, sometimes good, sometimes slightly undercooked. They occasionally forget your order when they are very busy on Friday evenings. Overall not bad.
