Great Advice from Nigel Cooke, so far, Free? Recommend

Totally unprofessional and communication with customers non existant I would definitely not recommend them. Please avoid at all costs.

Mckenzies Solicitors Kirkcaldy have always been our solicitors for many years and have been a tremendous help when needed. Having read some of the reviews just published, I must say that being involved in a difficult and involved property transaction with one of your reviewers Le Ritchie which has encouraged this response. She was not left homeless as she arranged to stay with a friend in a flat. She moved as she sold her house. The transaction was involved and difficult, and at no time was there any communication as to moving dates, entry dates, etc, and as the sellers, we were told 5-6 times she was withdrawing her bid, then not, then yes, then not, etc. Which left a most difficult situation for moving forward for anyone. There were other obstacles that she put in place for the disposition which meant each had to be realised by the other parties involved, again encompassing time for the completion date. At no time did the seller and the buyer set a move in date, but the seller was being told by this date or cancel the sale, etc. No friendly negotiations which is the normal procedure, no communication between seller and buyer, just between buyer and estate agent which finally reached the seller and a date was DEMANDED by buyer - of course via many text messages and emails. I could go on more, but that would not be pleasant. In the end, we were kind to store her goods, and help her move in (no thanks). I suppose people cannot see the problems they cause which prevents movement forward…but moan for moaning sake.Mckenzies Solicitors, and this includes Sally had a very difficult situation and it was dealt with in a very professional manner. Yes, it did take more time than usual, but there were more problems than usual and I cannot fault them one bit. They took a difficult situation and somehow managed to complete…what more can I say…BIG THANKS!!!!Patricia Kean

Appalling treatment at the hand of this company. I was left homeless for 2 months due to their ineptitude. First lawyer was incompetent and abandoned the job half way through after misleading all parties involved. Then Sally took over and treated us with rude disdain and incompetent delays. How they manage to function beggars belief. I wouldn’t wish the experience on anyone.

Giving one star because can't give zero. Gordon Cooke is an absolute shambles. Waited all day Friday for a call back.....never happened. Phoned all day Monday for him to avoid me again. All I needed was for him to witness a signature. Avoid at all costs. Very unprofessional.

Not worth one star.. wont call you back for days, even had to travel through to office to get to speak with them, still calling them to sort stuff out and keep getting told they busy and will call back. not happy with service at all.

Gordon Cooke was a joke never answered calls or returned them. Not professional like his partners. Waited till one week before going to employment court he had never prepared one document. He never explained what or should have happened. Never informed us charges had to be paid up front. Which was not a problem. Have written several times to them but they don’t answer letters or phone calls. Totally ignored man don’t waste your time or money going to this company. Receptionist lie for him managed to get Rollos, Amanda sneddon to take case what a difference would recommend use Rollos Glenrothes not these clowns who won my case with excellent outcome

Contacted them about notaire work. Easy money. Was told someone would get back to me. No one did. Poor customer service
