Great service and food. Busy evening but waitress made time to make conversation and was lovely. Got free garlic bread too. The rustica pizzas are expensive but a good portion to share to be honest

Disappointing. We visited with 2 children. We thought the food was average. We ordered Campanelle pasta from the children's menu. We were served a different pasta (pasta twists), and when we questioned it, the waitress came back and said it was the correct (it wasn't!). The salmon carbonara was a bit too dry. No one asked us how the food was, and it was difficult to get any attention - even for the bill. I don't think we will be visiting again any time soon.

Interesting take on pizza, but great. Loved the uniqueness of how they do it. And the vegan friendly lasagna. Oh my goodness. Best I've ever had by far. Well done!!They also stay open to very late. Was great being able to eat dinner there just before 22:00. Great place.

We were a table of 9, it wasn't very busy in the restaurant, we have been here many times previously before, but I have to say the standards have dropped and we won't be returning at all.We ordered a plain bowl or pasta with cheese on it, we got a bowl of plain pasta and when we asked about the cheese it was like it was to much bother! When we had deserts they were missing key ingredients, when we asked about it, it was like we were asking to much even though they had missed the toppings!Bringing food to the table and putting it in front of the children, then someone else coming over and taking it away saying that's for another table.Coffee was the other thing asked for a flat white coffee and given a latte, it was just a calamity of errors and seemed like none of the staff wanted to be there at all. When you are spending £200 plus on a family meal you would expect better service and attention to detail! Not a pleasant experience and such a shame as it used to be s nice in here.

Don’t think you can have a nice celebration dinner in that place. They will go far and beyond to make it less special and put additional charges to your bill make u look stupid and give u dirty looks. The manager looks good tho it’s a shame service is so bad. Requested a table in a quiet area they seated us in the middle of the restaurant.

Went for a friends birthday dinner and we had a really nice time. Located in the 2nd floor on the other side of Westquay, it had this modern rustic appeal and friendly staff (we were served by the lovely Beth C!).The food was good- I had the passion fruit sparkler, the Pork Rustica half and half pizza and the Triple Chocolate and Marshmallow Sundae-all were really nice however the pizza was a bit pricey (imo) for the thickness of the pizza however this is more so personal preference rather than a reflection of the restaurant itself. Additionally the passion fruit sparkler could do with more flavour, it was more so on the watery side and they did not have straws which is a hygiene issue (despite having washed the cups it would have been nice to have straws). Also the service seemed to be a bit slow due to it being busy so there needs to be a consideration of having more staff on the floor to accommodate for this, as our table did feel a bit neglected due to being in the corner. However overall, if you’re looking for some mid range Italian food with your friends on a weeknight out, then certainly Zizzi is a good place to go too! Additionally they offer student discount (30% off Monday-Wednesday) so this helped my table’s bill as we were all students!!Definitely coming back!

The food was good and arrived very quick after ordering. The garlic bread was crispy and went very well with the spicy herb-infused oil they had on the table. The smoked salmon salad was simple and had a standard taste. The cocktail weren't that great to be honest. However, the staff here were quite busy when the were lots of customers so we had to wait for quite a while before being directed to our seats even though the tables were empty. I felt that it was a bit disheartening to be left standing for that long. On the other hand, they were very friendly and attentive once we're seated.

My friend and I had a wonderful time at your restaurant last night. We were looked after by Casey who was so attentive, friendly and gave great recommendations. The restaurant was really pretty and we both loved the Spitfire mural which was a lovely nod to local history. The food was delicious, I had the 3 course meal deal and each item was delicious (garlic bread with cheese, pizza meat Sofia, salted caramel brownie. My friend ordered the cheesy garlic bread, salmon salad and black Forrest chocolate fondant and she too really enjoyed her food.Zizzi Southampton is definitely worth a visit, if we get to visit Southampton again in the future we will definitely return to this branch of Zizzi.

A complete absence of any welcome upon entry to the restaurant. Order taken but one of the dishes served did not seem to be the same as on the menu. It was close enough though so I ate it (there are 2 very similar chicken pasta dishes). At no time were we asked how our food was so no opportunity to mention the discrepancy. I'd have liked coffee to finish but apparently the machine was broken so no coffee. When I requested the bill, I was just shown the total on a digital device (no paper bill). The wrong item had been charged for and it took a further 10 minutes to get a corrected bill. No real apology & they thought it ok to charge a higher price than the dish I actually ordered. After paying, no paper receipt and the waitress wasn't even sure whether they could provide one! In summary, very poor customer service. Food ok.
