I have been with Barnetts Dundee Riverside for over 8 years for the purchase of my cars and for all servicing and MOT's. I wouldn't go anywhere else, the staff are professional, friendly and give excellent customer care, work is always done on time and communication is excellent to keep you updated with health check video any work that may need done and when your car is ready for pick up.I would advise booking at least 6weeks in advance if you want to use a hire car from them as they get booked up quickly.

Bought my Golf GTI from Barnetts VW back in may and received an excellent service from start to finish. Only criticism would be that some small defects on the car were not pointed out to me before purchase (small dent on rear bumper, line of touch up paint on the front bumper), but this is only a minor issue and not enough to take anything away from the rest of the service.Their after care service has also been top notch, got a puncture the same week I got the car and had it repaired that day for free at their service center. Additionally had some condensation build up in the wing mirror indicator, which they repaired free of charge under their 1 year incuded waranty.

i had contacted sales person DOUGLAS, we had back and forth conversations, video was sent of the car, offer was sent in the deal negotiations back and for, was told by Douglas he would be away for 2 hours and would be in touch, i tried ringing sales person Douglas on 2 occasions and by email 14.33 and no callback or response, just before 4pm when i rang they sold the car behind my back. i eventually after demanding to speak to a manager eventually spoke to Mr james Barnetts the CEO who was trying justify the sale with excuses, He told me he Authorised the sale, mr Barnetts wasn't even aware that a female used manager had given me an offer forwarded by email by the sales handler Douglas. if a deposit or security was needed at least have the decency to make me aware and i would have been happy to do so.i am in disbelief and shocked in how they treated me as a potential buyer.would i ever use them Again the Answer is NO" its very unprofessional in how it treats and serves its customers."

Shout out for Cara and manager in service department who rectified a bonnet latch issue that occurred. Picked up my Polo, fixed the issue as goodwill gesture, delivered it back with hours all clean and valeted. Amazing service over an issue that really caused me complications. Provided kind and helpful solutions in effective and thoughtful way. Pleasantly surprised with such an excellent outcome and such gracious customer service!

Picked up my new car yesterday and couldn’t have asked for a better experience from Barnetts! Especially from Reece Clare who was extra helpful from the get go, super fast responses and thoroughly explained everything - a really lovely guy to speak to.

Fantastic service, very courteous and kind. Went out of their way to help me with my Motability car service - we live quite remote so they collected car, filled it with fuel, gave it a super wash and made the whole process so easy. They did all the hard work. Can't thank them enough : )

I have bought many used cars, but the experience here was literally unbeatable. Duggie Kerr was great to deal with, he made the whole process easy and took plenty of time to understand what was important to us before exceeding our expectations. The car itself is exceptional (and as described if not better - we bought it without seeing it properly and so relied on video, pics and description). I would have no reservations recommending Duggie and Barnetts VW. Top job!

Ridiculously overpriced in the servicing department. Advised I would need two new tyres for my car to pass the MOT. The prices for their tyres were extortionate. I decided to take my car elsewhere for the tyres and MOT only to be told by the alternative garage I then took my car to that there was nothing wrong with the tyres but instead lack of knowledge from Barnett’s. Promised by two members of staff that they would send through service plan options but still waiting. They do nothing for their loyal customers. Delighted to have found an alternative garage as I wont be back!
