i was mugged on Friday ,left with nothing and applied for local welfare provision. it was rejected because they made an assumption that just because my family's is my care of address that they are supporting me and that is not the case, they told me instead to go to a food bank , my situation is bad but not bad enough I want to go take food out of family's mouths that actually need food bank to survive, all I wanted was a prepaid card so I can go shop for me and my family , if I was a drug addict I would of got the prepaid card as they provide the same service as the old crisis loans if your a smack head or a crack head or your an alcoholic its a yes if you are none of the above its tough, thanks for nothing b ham city council. ps .... the only way to appeal the decision is by writing lol how convenient

I went to Northfield neighbourhood office today. I was served both promptly and professionally. One of the staff( wearing a pink tie!!!) offered me a seat as he could see that I am disabled. Sorry for not getting a name. What an excellent office, well done and keep up the good workDave Collins

I am known as a whinger and a nitpicker, so I read all the negative reviews, not expecting anything good from this office. I might have just been lucky, but I found a lady who cleared my doubts about council tax bills that I couldn't understand. She also booked me for a housing refund I never heard off. So I actually left the office with extra £150 in my bank account. Thanks!

It should be stricter about who gets social housing, because of an anti social social housing Tennant it has left me in a very heart rendering position about what to do about my elderly cat, because not many places are able to accept pets.

Some of the staff try the best they can and are compassionate with the public, others don't have the patience or people skills. I understand it is a very demanding and stressful job but people go in deep distress some as a last resort. The building needs updating and the way people are seen. The waiting room is cramped and initial conversations with staff can be heard by others waiting. All in all its gets the job done if you find your in the right place
