We absolutely loved our takeaway fried fish, but considering how expensive everything was, we were overall a little underwhelmed. The whelks didn't taste fresh (dried edges and incredibly chewy), and the chips were very soggy and bland. We're glad we went for the experience, but wouldn't hurry back.

An incredible honeymoon dining experience, the food was fantastic and the staff were both knowledgeable and generous. We struggled booking a taxi back to Watergate Bay so a member of Rick Steins team kindly drove us back at the end of their shift. Could not recommend highly enough.

Compliments to the chefs. Food was incredible, the chocolate fondant was to die for! Unfortunately the service let it down for us. Firstly our drink order was forgotten (a basic to get right), we felt we were treated differently being the youngest couple in the restaurant. We noticed all the older clientele had servers wearing suits catering to them, topping up their waters and constantly catering to their needs. Our water was not topped up once by our waitress. Lastly we had to wait 20 minutes to pay the bill, which massively let's down the service level as you feel once you have been given the bill, you are forgotten about, onto to the next.Overall fantastic food, mediocre service (unless you are splashing the cash).

Visited Rick Stein's in Padstow for the first time over the summer. The lobster thermidor was an absolute standout - rich, creamy, and decadent. Though it sounds like a cliché, you can definitely taste the difference in quality with the produce being locally caught. The tempura soft shell crabs to start were a delight too - perfectly crispy and goes very well with the soy dipping sauce. My only criticism would be the price, a little expensive for what you get, but with excellent service and ambience, Rick Stein's is a great place for a special meal in Padstow.

Had a great day cooking along with such brilliant experienced chefs. We picked up really interesting and helpful tips. Loved the food we made and we’ll definitely be remaking the recipes at home! Really enjoyed it, thanks again for a great day Nick and Aaron. Such a memorable experience.

Had this cooking lesson booked for me by my partner as a birthday gift.It really was a wonderful experience, the teachers were fantastic in there cooking skills and teaching, they made us feel very welcome.We did the fish cooking day and everything was planned and organised so well. We met lots of lovely people as well, you get to eat what you cooked and they give you plenty to drink!! I was very pleased with my cooking certificate at the end as well and all the recipes. What a wonderful gift and experience it was.
