Amazing salmon trap box filled with loads of flavour. The best trap box I have ever had. Very filling as well.

Very disappointing, especially as I was looking forward to eating something decent. The beef patty was fine, although you would be very hard pushed to see any difference between that and the ones you can buy in a newsagent. The coleslaw was shredded into tiny bits and had an overwhelming flavour of salad cream. The worst was the mac and cheese, a very small portion for a fiver. There was some melted cheese on the top but the rest was just plain overcooked pasta with very little flavour or seasoning. If this was just average I wouldn't have left a review at all - but this was pretty bad today.

This meal was truly blissful and just what i needed on a hungry Saturday afternoon after a long walk. On fridays and Saturdays they only do combo meals offering a few different options of main alongside a variety of sides (Colesaw, corn, wings, mac & cheese, Mac balls, etc. Definitely recommend washing this meal down with a varity of sparkling drinks they have to offer. Would love to go again during the week when they do Street food & curries from the Carribean. ALSO, the kind lady on the till informed me that they would be moving to a bigger place soon in grangetown so that they can offer more dine-in service.PS - Their jerk chicken is super tasty and spicy. If you can't handle your spice, i recommend you request a mild version or go for something else.

The food is not great. It is definitely not close to any proper carribean meal. It literally tastes of almost nothing.I'm not sure where the high ratings are from .The picture is supposed to be brown stew chicken" with rice and peas AND "curry goat" with rice and peas. The "stew" had no stew or even a tiny bit of sauce and the chicken was almost dry.The picture looks a mile better than the actual taste of the food."

I really want to support small business owners and I know businesses have been struggling with the cost of living so this is more of feedback for the owner to get more business. The portions were very, very small, especially for the money. Like I said though I know imported ingredients are not cheap but it was ridiculously small. I paid £9 for the food in the picture. Second, it was really mild (a bit bland) and had literally no chilli/spice. My friend ordered Jamaican mac and cheese but it was just like english/american box mac and cheese. Wasn't cheap either.Music could be louder to muffle sounds of talking and kitchen.Hope to come back when its got a bit better x

Nothing Carribean about it!Huge disappointment! The 'chicken curry' wasn't curry at all, it was a very small drumstick and an even smaller thigh on a bed of rice. No sauce whatsoever, extremely dry and so bland it was almost inedible. The Oxtail stew was better than the 'curry' as in a bit more flavour but still nothing authentic about it taste wise. What was supposed to be brown stew chicken was again a tiny drumstick and a tiny thigh on top of a bed of rice. No sweet, sticky sauce or in fact no flavour either. The Jerk wings had zero jerk taste or spice they were just dry, charcoal wings that weren't even seasoned. The dumplings were not fully cooked. The 'Coleslaw & salad' was a dipping sauce container (tiny) with a few tomato cubes and 1/4 of a Lettuce leaf with grated carrot mixed with salad cream on top of it!We spent £44 and none of us were even remotely close to being satisfied or fed.Don't waste your money

This place is a must if you like your Caribbean food , my first time here and won't be my last, the staff are super friendly and the service is fast. Tried the goat curry with rice and peas with salad and coleslaw, the goat fell of the bone , the curry was so tasty and the best rice and peas I've ever had . The big restaurants got nothing on THE CARIBBEAN WAY ❤️
