Park's Toyota Carlisle

Nice peopleI left a deposit for a car. throughout I was dealing with Gordon (brilliant sales man) who set up my finance over the phone as I lived 250 miles away from the dealership, he got the car ready for me & sorted all the paperwork.Unfortunately I had to pull out of the deal due to some unforeseen circumstances. however they were very understanding especially Vernon Roberts (Director at parks group) , they still remained polite & treating me with respect & returned my £500 deposit.

Just collected our new Rav4 today. Excellent service as always from Gordon. First class salesman,would definitely recommend.

We purchased a Nissan Qashqai just over 3 weeks ago & we are very pleased with it. Their patience through the trade in process is outstanding. Everyone was very helpful especially Mason. Once again we`d like to thankyou for your patience & support.

Had an absolute nightmare trying to find the correct parts for my cars joined forums and groups all over Europe etc trying to find some. So gave toyota a ring as I knew they would be able to help. Spoke to John in the parts department. Couldn't have had a better experience from start to finish. John is a credit to your dealership. Car is back on the road all sorted. Thanks again John. We have had 3 new vehicles from Parks Toyota and haven't had an issue but called twice over last couple of days to enquire about a new hilux , was advised we would receive a call back and nothing. Very disappointed, we will take our business elsewhere.

Tbh, I haven't used the servicing/repairs. Nor have I bought a car from then as they are not my nearest dealer. However, I did have cause to make an enquiry which my local garage couldn't deal with. The very pleasant young lady I spoke to in parts was extremely helpful. Since my local dealer can't help, I will make the hour's journey to have the work done there.

Terrible! I ordered a pickup 19 months ago. 19! The truck has now been sat in the car park for a week waiting for PDI and I've been told that Dougie can't be bothered to get it through his shop to have the truck released for another 4 days. The issue is that they don't have enough staff to serve their clients. This is their problem being passed to their customers. This is the 6th new truck I've purchased from Toyota and THE worst customer service I've ever experienced. No apologies were given to me or anything offered as compensation for not having a vehicle to use for work. I'm beyond frustrated with this dealership. Never again! AVOID!

If you live in, or near to, Carlisle and you are considering a Toyota for your next car purchase this would be a perfectly reasonable place to start looking. I suggest that you should visit with plenty of time to spare. Good service department but if you live as described above and own a recent Toyota you will already know that.

Bought a Mercedes that had been traded into Parks Toyota Carlisle about a month ago. Car is great and very happy with it. However the sales process and after care not great. Car was advertised as having keyless entry on the website and on the sign hanging in the car. It does not have this. On the test drive the salesman told us about the amazing ambient lighting and the dashboard lights up like a theatre. It does not have this feature. I asked if the car has a physical dipstick and was told it definitely does. It does not. On the day I collected the car I had a brief issue where the engine light came on. Took it back to Parks where they checked it out and could find nothing wrong. Happy with that, but the sales guy told me “should have bought a Toyota”. After spending a large amount of money with them that’s not what I want to hear. Car was still registered with previous owner when bought on the Mercedes app so had to drive straight round to Mercedes to sort as they couldn’t sort there. They didn’t check with old owner when they traded it in. Have not had a single call after purchase to see if everything is ok and am I happy with my car. In addition I’ve just noticed that the service book I have been given with the car has the wrong car registration number in it. Correct VIN but the registration number for a white Toyota, not a white Mercedes 2 years newer so they clearly didn’t check this either. Car still had a Mercedes service owing on the service plan from the previous owner. Wasn’t informed of this as Parks clearly didn’t know. Had to find out for myself. Now booked the car in with Mercedes for a proper service as I don’t really trust the one I had done at Parks. I’m sure Parks are great at selling the Toyota’s but be wary if buying anything from them that’s been traded in, it may not be as advertised as they don’t seem to check or care if you’re happy after purchase.

Originally I had my car in the workshop at Arnold Clark Renault Dumfries and was quoted a total repair cost of £1600-£1800. Arnold Clark have already robbed be off a lot of money so I decided to take it to Parks Toyota Carlisle. Best decision I could of made! I gave the very friendly and helpful service staff a list of the problems that Arnold Clark had given me and they originally quoted around a third of the price compared to Arnold Clark for the work to be done. I decided to book in with them and they gave me honest updates including one thing that needed changed (I asked Arnold Clark to check this and they said it was fine....) and also things that didn't actually need replaced. After the work was done I had the great news that it wasn't going to cost as much as the original quote! Chuffed to bits with the whole experience and even got the car washed and hoovered. Great job to all involved and I will be making this my first stop in the future.
