Argos Romford Gallows Corner

DO NOT buy gaming equipment from here or any argos store. I purchased a £60 controller which was faulty took it back they said it was not a new controller and I should contact the manufacturer! Got to waste time doing that now, useless.

The deputy manager Jake refused to sell me a cutlery set as it included a butter knife. You could clearly see I was over the age of 18 and was buying all other home items. He was extremely rude and made me cry. Couldn’t have been a more humiliating experience, extremely disappointing and didn’t need the stress on top of a home move.

Member of Staff 'Kelly' deliberately made it hard to return a faulty item. In the end gave a refund. No thank you, nothing, rude appalling customer service. Never had an issue before!

Easy once you work out the self pay machines. You can pay at a counter but there may be a queue.I've just bought something else there and a salesman came up and helped me as he could see I was struggling to find what I wanted. He was so helpful & polite I've decided to up the star rating.

A big shop but very quiet, not so many people inside which was perfect for me because I was with my baby to collect a package. I was disappointed that I ask a member of team to help me with the package to bring outside to the door but they give me a trolley instead, was good but with baby was difficult.

Got ID'd for a board game, I'm 25 and I got ID for a board game. The board game was articulate. More fool me for not bringing me any but how ridiculous to ID someone over a board game.

I would like to express my disappointment at your unsatisfactory level of service.I just noticed on one of the items I received in delivery today, the Sensse Professional LED, that there were dark hairs on the mask and on the inside as if someone had used it. The most aggravating thing is that it seems to be a man with a beard because the hair follows the same shape as someone with a mustache and a beard also when I checked further I found that it was actually human hair. Disgusting, I paid for something new received and it wasn't cheap for me to receive this type of thing. Subject to getting any infections on my face. This is the second time I've been extremely disappointed with your service, but I've never made a proper complaint about it.This is making me completely stressed and frustrated.

Good service. Never a long queue and whatever we are looking for has always been in stock.They have issues with payment machines nearly every time I've been in this store! So much for technology.Thankfully they always have real staff manning cashiers desk.Returns have never been a hassle.I just wish they offer better quality products like in the past and I wish their procurement team actually test products they take on from suppliers as quality is the only reason I've given them 2 less stars.Also rubbish touch screens to check stock.Old technology was at least robust and quick.It's something higher management need to look into otherwise you will lose loyal customers to likes of bandq brands!Otherwise staff are great and store has always been clean.Some of us would pay more for better quality!

Very poor customer service….I bought a Fit Bit Fitness Tracker for a family member as a birthday gift. Unfortunately the screen size was smaller than expected and was therefore unsuitable. Once this became apparent the item was immediately put back in the box. The item had not been worn or used in any way.I found another Fitness tracker with a slightly larger screen so I brought the Fit Bit back to Argos Gallows Corner with the intention of exchanging the item.To my utter shock and surprise I was told the item could not be exchanged as the screen had a finger print on it and the box has a small tear in it.The finger print is a non issue as it can easily be wiped away. In regards to the tear in the box…I could have understood if the packaging was completely ruined but as you can see in the photos below this clearly was not the case.After a few phone calls and a formal complaint the matter has now been resolved but I am still slightly aggrieved buy the way the Gallows Corner staff member handled the situation.

Extremely poor customer service, felt very unwelcomed and was intimidated by their staff for collecting a ps5. I went with friends to collect as we decided to take 1 car and they made me feel like some sort of criminal. They then loudly berated another staff member (verging on abuse) who was also Asian for serving us and then refunded my friend.I will be speaking to head office regarding this as their behaviour was disgraceful and I felt sorry for their staff member who was being shouted at by 3 other staff members.Disgusting behaviour.
