Vets4Pets - Cardiff Ely

If you purchase a pet plan at a 'hugely discounted price' then expect NOT to receive everything you thought you had paid for. Expect to be made to feel like a liar and a thief and for the receptionist to treat you with contempt because they are clearly always right and you are wrong regardless.Never been made to feel so dishonest or a liar anywhere than I was at Vet4Pets Ely Cardiff.Following my experience I have had many updates of other people's shoddy and frankly downright disgusting encounters at the same veterinary establishment. I'm off to take my dog and 2 cats to another surgery where customer service and the health of the pet comes before profit and they know how to treat them with respect!

This was an emergency appointment following a dog attack. Vet examined my dog carefully. Explained re antibiotics and pain relief, and also have advice re walking him and what to do if there were any probs. The reception staff - a man - was lovely and very helpful

Our cats were neutered here. I appreciate the staff's commitment and professionalism. The cats were treated with love and care, and that's what any owner would want, their companions to be on good, loving handsThank you to all who cared for our cats.

Brilliant vets! The staff are all super friendly and caring. Can't imagine ever taking my pupper anywhere else.

Told me one price for a puppy plan and one set of features which I agreed to and paid when I asked to see the vets to check something regarding my pups health they then tried to charge me £40 before stating I wasn't on the right package and should have paid £120 extra for that appointment to be free. I ended up using another vets and carrying through the plan I paid for unfortunately as the next time I visited my dog was growled and snarled at for entering the practice by an xl bully and the staff seemed more concerned with mugging off those owners and belittling them than just asking them to use a muzzle or wait outside. I finally thought I was clear of these cretins but needed to double check what wormers my pup was given as his new wormers where droncit and I wasn't sure if I would be overlapping treatments and thought how hards this going to be to solve to be told by the receptionist my dog has never been treated for fleas and worms the 3 times he's attended which iv actually watched them do them I challenged this and said iv seen them do it so it should be logged and this is another reason in joined St davids vets instead as they are treating me alot fairer giving me options for fleaing and worming treatment which ended the conversation with your dogs medical details will be emailed over and the phone getting slammed down. Those emailed records clearly told me what they had used and also comments that weren't made to me during appointments like them saying they want to wait upto a year to see if my puppys testicle descends however at this point it wont and has a high chance of turning cancerous and needs to come out asap they told me they wanted to wait but it says on record i rejected castration which is clearly untrue as my pups booked in january for treatment with st davids. My advice go anywhere else cause they'll actually care about your dog tell you the truth and help your pet not themselves to your money whilst telling lies and writing porkies

Was seen promptly the vet took the time to fully examine Bailey and explained the treatment ongoing also explained price before I got to reception to pay which was nice I knew it wasn't going to be cheap but was nice to not have such a shock. Reception staff were both very friendly. The only downside was how loud the door is when someone walks in or out it unsettled Bailey while waiting he's anxious around vets as it is and this didn't help. Other than that I'm very happy overall

Our dog had problems breathing so we turned up without an appointment, we were told they were very busy but within minutes we were being seen. The staff were friendly and sympathetic and gave us all the time we needed.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful whilst phoning initially and throughout the visit. The place was clean and all the staff we met attended to my puppy with care, affection and professionalism. I was left with a great impression of the business.

My cat only went in to have he claws cut,She is not a happy cat to being handled. they knew this so the nurse did it with the cat still in her basket it worked perfectly, I live locally and will return.
