Stubborn Mule Travel

We asked Stubborn Mule to fix up a holiday for us with only 3 weeks notice, but ended up with a fantastic tour seeing marvellous places , eating wonderful food and having new experiences. This included places not on the standard tourist trail eg dining with a maharajah and seeing his wonderful palace under restoration in Karauli. Would recommend Stubborn Mule for an unforgettable travel experience in the best possible sense!

We had a bespoke holiday to Egypt with Stubborn Mule. Tailor made for our duration and cultural/sight seeing/beach time mix. It was a fabulous holiday and I would happily recommend them. Communication was spot on and the local guides were excellent. Removes any stresses or worries when travelling as a family with kids and allows you to fully enjoy the sites and activities and not worry about logistics. A great balance of activities and relaxation time and excellent hotels. Will be saving up for our next adventure!

We have just returned from a two week trip to Egypt and it was simply amazing. From the start Stubborn Mule were extremely helpful, suggesting an amazing itinerary and helped us to tweak it to suit our family of four. They answered all our queries quickly throughout and were extremely efficient and helpful. The local support was also top class with knowledgeable and considerate guides resulting in a fantastic family holiday with no stresses and unforgettable memories. Will definitely use Stubborn Mule again and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for an exciting and adventurous family holiday.

We travelled with Stubborn Mule to Costa Rica for 3 weeks in August. I can highly recommend them as the communication was excellent and we had an amazing holiday. Everything was meticulously organised and all the hotels and trips were excellent. We felt we had a good balance of activities and down time. The kids loved it and the amount of animals we saw was brilliant. Highly recommend Stubborn Mule.

We have just returned from a 16 day family trip to Vietnam with Stubborn Mule and what an amazing experience. We worked together to build the perfect itinerary and it couldn't have been more special. A perfect mix of adventure and down time whilst gaining a really great insight into what life is really like living in Vietnam. Felt, safe and looked after the whole time - can't wait for the next one!

Just returned from a great 2 1/2 week trip to Mexico with our boys (13 and 15).Stubborn Mule worked hard to accommodate the whole family’s holiday wants. They were always prompt to respond to all my queries (including whilst we were away) from start to finish. They were also very accommodating when we wanted to book our own flights to use up some Avios. Will def use them again for a family trip.

We have just returned from an amazing two-week trip to India, brilliantly organised by Charlotte (thank you!) She worked around the dates of the wedding we were there to attend, organising a great and varied itinerary, which somehow ran like total clockwork in a country where nothing really seemed to run to schedule. I was very nervous about taking a 3 year old but it was absolutely brilliant and we can't wait for our next family adventure. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Stubborn Mule were instrumental in arranging a terrific once in a lifetime safari trip for our family of four including two teenage boys (19 & 17). We travelled to Tanzania in July 2023, taking in Arusha, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Parks before travelling to Zanzibar. As well as seeing amazing wildlife in beautiful settings, a highlight for all of us was the time we spent with the Hadzabe tribe at Lake Eyasi. Such an experience doesn't seem to feature as part of the usual tours available and it was incredible to join the tribe on a hunt, eat some of the kill, and see how they lived - such a dramatically different existence to ours and very thought-provoking. We will be reminiscing about our trip for many years to come.

Just back from an amazing three week trip to Costa Rica. Liddy and the team really know their destinations and worked closely with local partners to create a perfect holiday for our family. We felt like independent travellers, with our hire car even though our itinerary had been meticulously planned and seamlessly executed. The Stubborn Mule team are always there if you need them should things not go according to plan as we found out when we had a flight delay. Highly recommend.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Borneo, everything was organised by the great team at Stubborn Mule, special thanks to Helene for sticking with us. This was delayed due to covid, and Stubborn Mule have been there for us when we were finally able to travel.Borneo was the most amazing family holiday, so much variety on offer. First growth tropical rainforests, huge (and I mean huge) caves with millions of bats. Lots of amazing wildlife, Orangutans, Proboscis Monkeys (only found in Borneo) and even pigmy elephants. Tropical island paradise for snorkelling and watching the turtles hatch to name but a few highlights.Thank you very much Stubborn Mule, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend you and look forward to booking our next adventure with you
