Talybont South Halls of Residence
Very Lively Halls, great for the first few weeks but then can be very noisy and disruptive to study.Avoid if doing intensive degrees i.e. medicine dentistry.Had to move to Talycourt to get some sleep!Rooms are small and depressing really worth paying extra for Talycourt which is larger and alot brighter enviroment.

In a flat of 8, not enough kitchen storage or cooking space.Silverfish bugs in my room.Breeze through my window which should definitely be better soundproofed.Parcels go missing.Overtake, not pleasant.

It's a hell of possibilities. Beautiful because it's beside Bute Park, quite far from city center but very near to Tesco Extra. You will have your own world there. The garden and the place is happening. it's crazy but the room size do suck.

Dropped my daughter off for her first year at Cardiff Uni. Nice halls and well organised for the drop off. The flat has six people and has a kitchen/diner. The room has an en-suite shower/bathroom. Would recommend this as a great place to live when starting uni life

This place is mostly ideal for first year students who want to party but besides of that overpriced and small rooms with bad shower for the price. Expect a lot of noise during nights due parties.

Very expensive and small rooms, but essential for the first year student to get the experience of halls life... quite nicely arranged blocks, none of them are too big, these are 80s or 90s but appear to have been recently refurbished. Do the halls thing for a year, then move out to private accommodation with a group of mates, its much cheaper and you get twice the space.

This looks and feels like a nice place. Hoping daughter enjoys it.Rooms slightly bigger then tally north as are the ensuite bathrooms Shame no sofa In the kitchen for the young people to relax with each other. With no hang out space in flat it forces them to hang out in pubs- perhaps that is the plan and the university and local pubs plan this - hence the synic in me.

10 days without hot water aren’t fun. Washing machines are grimy and disgusting, as well as overpriced. Tiny rooms, without proper showers, and the humidity causes a ton of silverfish problems. When I moved in, the “welcome” mug had a whole bunch in it…
