I had a wonderful introductory session to pottery making, hosted by the exceptionally talented Liz.It’s not as easy as the professionals make it look, but isn’t that always the case… it takes a lot of practice to be perfect!! However, I had the most enjoyable two and a half hours as a novice potter, and I can’t wait to see my little olive bowl, once it’s been fired and glazed. Thank you Liz.If you’ve watched ‘The Great Pottery Throw Down’, like I have, and wondered what it’s like, or how easy is it, give it a go. It’s great fun.

It’s only week 2 of my 6 week clay course, but I’ve already learnt so much! and I am loving using this knowledge to create freely in a lovely workspace with wonderful people and expert tuition.I am excited to glaze, coil and throw in the upcoming weeks and I would highly recommend the course to anyone wanting to learn.Roll on Wednesday for week 3 !!

Just a brief note to say how much I enjoyed my introductory pottery lesson. The session was nicely paced & easy going. We each produced a superb piece of pottery, so all in all, a great success. really worth giving a go & good fun.

Excellent 2 hours enjoyed in different sessions with different tutors by both myself and my niece. We both had fun, learnt something and had a couple of creative pieces to keep. Both tutors were friendly, helpful and efficient. Would highly recommend.

Enjoyed a clay throwing experience today. Got struck straight in and had a great time with a ball of clay and loads of water! Plenty of guidance and encouragement from Sophie who made sure we all managed to produce our own ‘unique’ pots. No experience necessary just a willingness to get stuck in and give it a go. Great fun!

I enjoyed a fantastic Throwing taster session at Cheshire Clay Studio and since that day I was hooked! Next I booked on a 6 week course where I get to have a go at as many different areas of ceramics that I can get my hands on… I’ve completely got the bug, so I’ll be ready to develop everything I’ve learned in September in the next term. It all takes places a fantastic, inspiring creative space and i am lucky to be supported and tutored by people who have full enthusiasm for what they do!! Beyond 5 stars! :)
