Would love to see tracing technology at the driving range

Decided to get back into golf after about 8 years. Went to this driving range for the first time last week and got to say it. Very nice atmosphere. And you can even practice your putting

5pm close Sunday advertised. Weather gr8 yet arrived 4.10pm and gate closed. Surely 5pm close means last basket 30mins before not nearly 1 hr! If so change your advertising to properly represent your true opening hours. And it not the first time.Thanks for response, fully understand what you have to do as i worked for Preston Driving range a number of years ago. My gut is that's why the gate got close ref the 100 balls, a lady was pulling the shutters down and saw me saw slow down but gate was across. Just frustrating as I finished work to give me time to hit 50 balls.

I had a lovely day out at whitestake driving range. Great service, lovely looking staff, reasonably priced and I love the free mints. They even reshafted my wood while I was there

GOOD DRIVING RANGEWhitestake Driving Range is located in what appears to be farmland and a wide country lane will get you to the entrance and car park.It is what it is: a small, quiet, no frills, cheap and cheerful range; definitely enough to get some quality practice in. If you're after a place with a pro-shop, top tracer bays and a cafe, this isn't the place for you. It has some driving bays, some toilets and that's it.Balls are relatively cheap (£6 for 100) and the thing I like about it is that the bays are clean and huge, so there's no chance of hitting anything on your backswing.There's distance flags, a couple of holes and a target pit at the 30 yard mark (see pictures).PRO TIP - the best bay is Bay #5, you can line yourself up with the distance markers and use the tramlines as a channel.The reason why it's 4 stars and not 5 stars is down to the short opening times ... in winter it closes at 3:00pm, which is a shame but I understand why.Other than that, if you're after a quiet place to practice, this'll do nicely.WARNING - There's a busy road at the end of the range, bear this in mind if you can flat carry the ball over 280 yards.

Well it’s never open, so it can’t be given any more than 1 star, owner complains about hand picking where every other driving range has same issue. 50 balls maximum is also rubbish. Better off at Ashton !!!

No fancy auto tee machine or tracking virtual golf simulator, just a basic golf range for a decent price.

Place is an absolute joke opening hours wise. Not open Sundays, closes hours before advertised on Saturdays too and no evenings. How anyone can think a recreational business doesn’t warrant opening when most people have free time I do not knowGo else where

Good as ever, well organised covid precaution wise. Well maintained bays, mats and balls and dispensing ball buckets. Just missing good short game area.
