I bought a small board from this company as a gift. However, when I read that it would take two weeks to deliver, I cancelled the order and instead bought another present. Unfortunately the cancellation email and a subsequent follow-up was misdirected (my fault) and so the board arrived ten days later. I called to request a return/refund and was informed this was not available because we're a small company and can't take the hit". I don't have an issue with that

We've bought a number of products from The Oak and Rope Company and have always been absolutely delighted with them - from a bespoke carving board, G&T boards, a lovely personalised doorstop for our son and daughter in law to a solitaire game. But today The Oak and Rope Company excelled themselves. I broke a glass candle holder in a now discontinued range and contacted the company to ask how I could find a replacement. Imagine my delight when one was put in the post and arrived the next day as they had a spare in stock and at no charge, now that's customer service. Our lovely candle holder is restored to pride of place. Thank you Gena. Great company, great service and great products. Highly recommended.

They created the product in super quick time and managed to get it ready early. I explained the reasons why it was so important and I know they did everything they could to have it ready for a special anniversary when I didn't give them much time. Bought 2 newborn baby plaques, they are both great! Having bought a similar style engraved items elsewhere for a cheaper price- I can confirm that you definitely get what you pay for in terms of the quality of the wood and the craftsmanship with these products - and they are most definitely worth it. The plaques will definitely be a sentimental and treasured item for each family and I'm sure will last many decades!. They also had very accommodating and helpful customer service when I requested a design adjustment. 5*

I recently ordered a personalised cheese board as a gift and I couldn’t be happier with the product. More than that, I would like to thank the team who went above and beyond to make sure my order got to me on time despite the Christmas rush and the December postal strikes, which were totally out of their control. Have purchased a number of gifts from O&R over the years and have been thrilled with each one. The quality and finish are second to none.They are a special purchase rather than a random gift but I can see each one lasting a lifetime. Thank you for making and shipping two beautiful items - a large mile signpost and a height ruler, both with personalised engravings - they made the most perfect gifts for my husband’s sixtieth birthday! They are both beautiful pieces, which mark special events and they are items to enjoy and treasure.
