This is an amazing new French bakery, located in the old Eltham railway station. It's a new business, and has established a great local following, with fresly cooked sourdough bread, cakes, viennise pastries and the baguette of champions ...

A small family run business in the heart of Eltham that I am grateful to have so near my home. The bread is excellent and is almost the same price as that from some supermarkets. If you are lucky enough to be there when they have done a peach tart then your mind will be blown.

I’ve been to CM numerous times, both to drink/eat in and to grab bread to take home, since they’ve opened.Overall I’m giving a five based on the consistency in quality of the food and coffee. I do wonder a bit about some of the very-low-starred reviews - either I’ve repeatedly been lucky every single time, or the less good experiences are the bad luck for others. The bread is phenomenal. My wife and I are a French/British couple and spend a lot of our year in France. The CM baguette is as good as, or better than, any we’ve had elsewhere. The croissants are superb. The croque isn’t good for my heart but it’s delicious. The coffee is good too.In all the times visiting the one note is that staff attitude can sometimes be a little brusque, but I think of that as the true Parisian experience ;)

Delicious fresh pastries. Nice interior too for those who want to sit in and enjoy. Yes, it's a bit pricey but at least the quality is good.I came here on a weekday morning and it was quite pleasant. I hear it's busy on a weekend though.Would come back again to try other things.Parking is limited. Your best bet is to look for a space on the main road or one of the adjacent streets.

Completely positively wonderful place! Makes me feel like I’m in France itself, the croissants are the most beautiful things at admire and the sausage roll was scrumptious! ❤️☀️

This is an amazing bakery. Makes ole & steen average. I love this place and very fortunate to have it in Eltham. It will be hard to find better pastries and bread in London. Only thing they can do better is to train their staff to treat incoming customers slightly better. Being busy doesn’t mean it’s ok to be rude. Just a simple hello, hi or bonjour - we will be with you shortly will suffice!

Very lucky to have this in my neighbourhood. Food is absolutely amazing! I tried bread, pastries, cakes, quiche, and even salad. I had not been disappointed once.Unfortunately service needs a bit of improvement. I understand they are busy, buy sometimes I wonder if they even noticed I was waiting.

Amazing bakery and cafe. Very good coffee and excellent baked goods. A great place to meet up with friends or do some work. We always grab our sourdoughs from here as well.

Opinions on the food have to drive the overall score and for that it’s a big fat 5 stars. The most amazing pastries ( Award winning croissants maybe? ) and deliciously perfect sourdough. But and it’s a increasingly frustrating ‘but’ around the service. They’ve employed a lot of young members of staff who don’t appear to have had any training on how to actually interact with customers.Maybe I’m expecting too much from teenagers but they all seem so miserable and disinterested. It would be just nice to get a smile and thank you now and again.I’ll keep coming back for the baking but hopefully one day I’ll be back for the service as well.
