The professional black woman's hair salon ! My hair dresser recently retired and due to the fact that I had experienced stress related hair loss and breakage due to colouring my hair, I was very worried about going to a new hairdresser. My old hair dresser had worked out how to relax and colour my hair, without it all breaking off and I had experienced significant improvement in the appearance and thickness of my hair. Therefore, you can imagine that I was concerned about a new hair dresser undoing all of the progress my previous hairdresser had made. When I visited the Darren Scott hair salon I was very impressed. Darren and James were very knowledgeable and gave very good advice to me about caring for my hair. A major criticism that I have about many black hair dressers, is that they lack knowledge and an up-to-date comprehensive understanding of the optimum treatment and care for Afro hair!Darren just got on with relaxing and styling my hair and was so knowledgeable that he only needed a few hints to provide me with the perfect relaxer, haircut and style. Even though I live a two hour drive away, I will be revisiting this hair salon!

Darren is the best hairdresser I have ever used. I used to go to an expensive West end salon, but they never got my colour right. Darren makes my hair look fabulous.......and I'm fussy! He is professional, highly knowledgeable and works very hard to get the look you want. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I went to this salon to get a balayage for my curly hair and I absolutely love my new hairstyle. Darren was my stylist and was very attentive and made sure it was perfect. All the staff members were friendly. I would definately recommend people to come to this salon especially if you have curly hair!

My first visit to the salon and Darren couldn't have been nicer. He blow dried my hair so Beautifully. Usually, on my first visit to salons I'm gripping the chair as I'm so nervous if they can actually do my hair but I needn't have worried. As soon as Darren started I knew he could do it. He gave me lots of advice on looking after my hair and what products to use. I left the salon with TV looking swishy shiny hair. I would definitely recommend him and can't wait to visit again.

I have been having my hair done at Darren Scott salon for many years. I can say wholeheartedly that this is the best salon experience I have ever had. When I started visiting Darren Scott I was traumatised from a previous salon experience and my hair was lacking moisture and shine. Darren Scott rescued my hair and it has been shiny and healthy ever since. All the stylists are brilliant and their knowledge about hair and also make up is second to none.
