Bramhall Pilates
After being recommended Pilates during physio for a back condition, I wasn't sure what to expect but as a beginner i've found Jane to be super helpful as i get used to the classes. I'm really confident that this will become a regular part of my recovery and then future exercise regime.

Why you joined pilates?To increase core strength, flexibility and balanceWhat was your perception of pilates compared to the reality?Pilates is such an important and underrated exercise form. I have done Pilates before but the general perception seems to be that it is an easy form of exercise and more for older people. However, the benefits for all age groups is immense because the movements and forms are slow and focused working on all the different muscle groups increasing strength, stamina and stabilityWhat benefits have you experienced?I have seen the improvement in my posture and increase in stability and strength. I have also learnt the do’s and dont’s for people with osteoporosis which has been immense in my practiceWhat you enjoy about it?Pilates allows me to work from the inside out with focus and breath control and enables a full work out using all the major muscle groups especially the core.Why you think men should practice it?Most men focus on building muscle and not so much on the core stability or balance and I think Pilates is really important because it would help to balance out the body giving more strength

Bramhall Pilates
I started Jane’s classes a five months ago, never having done Pilates before, as I was waiting for hip replacement surgery. The classes really helped with my pain management and very quickly I felt my core strength and posture was improving. It has made the world of difference. Jane’s very calm and patient manner really makes you feel at ease. I have now had my surgery so had to temporarily suspend my classes but I am now reaping the benefit of my increased core strength in my recovery from the op and will certainly be recommencing the classes as soon as my consultant gives me the go ahead to do so.

Jane is an excellent, friendly demonstrator of Pilates positions and gives explanations about the benefits to the body.I have enjoyed every session since joining and certainly feel the benefits.

Bramhall Pilates
I have been meaning to start Pilates for a long time, but was really apprehensive about going along somewhere for the first time! I did not need to worry at all!! The classes are all mixed ability so you never feel “exposed” as the newbie and Jane is a fantastic instructor who makes everyone feel welcome. She explains all exercises clearly & fully and provides different variations to suit all levels. I’ve been going for 8wks now and feel the benefits so much that I genuinely never want to miss a week! If you’re considering Pilates, this is the class - it’s welcoming, relaxed and so beneficial!

Bramhall Pilates
I joined the Pilates class because I could no longer play tennis as I had arthritis in my feet and my balance was not good. I am very much enjoying the classes. Different levels are given for each exercise and also the music is very relaxing. I am amazed at how much the exercises have helped. My posture is so much better,from walking with a slight stoop to now naturally walking with a straighter back . My core muscles are stronger and I generally feel so much fitter than when I first started the classes. Jane is a great teacher and is very encouraging.

I have been going to classes for a few weeks now and I am delighted to have found such an excellent teacher. Jane tailors the classes to suit all abilities, so everyone can reach their own potential. She corrects technique and explains movements and the rationale behind them. I always feel better in mind and body at the end of a class. Thank you!

Every time I attend Jane's class, I feel the benefit of re-energised and lifted. And it's true that time flies when you have fun. Doing Pilates has improved my well-being and posture. I can talk with Jane about anything I am not sure about. Thank you Jane for being a fantastic teacher!

I have been attending Bramhall Pilates since January 23. I credit Jane to being the only exercise teacher who has got me back to subsequent classes!!I was looking for a class to strengthen me and give me greater flexibility, this has happened for sure. I noticed the benefits of either my once or twice weekly attendance very quickly.I have developed a better awareness of posture and how the way i was moving had been detrimental for so long. I now have body awareness and try and include the exercises Jane teachers through the rest of my week. She has passed on little tips that one can do when you're waiting for the kettle to boil etc. These little things are so imporatnt in busy 21st century living, and easy to fit in.I find the classes very sociable and have made new friends. I like that its a mixed group of males and females and includes people of all ages and abilities. i was looking for this. We seem to all have the same purpose from the classes, to get what we individually want from it but with a common comaraderie ; people are very focussed but we have a laugh too.Jane herself is lovely, she makes the class very special. She's encouraging and is great at helping people when they may be struggling with a position or she suggests alterations which maybe beneficial for them. The classes are run whilst chilled music is playing and lovely incense is burning, when you close your eyes through the class whilst doing an exercise it's really relaxing. Thanks for bringing Pilates into my lifeCatherine Connolly x
