We've been before and it was awful. We've been again today and it's so much better, they must have made improvements! The service was great, really happy guy and gave us a free piece of cake! We ordered scampi and chips, delish!

Spent £9 on large chips and x2 sausages. This is the size of the portion of chips we received also undercooked and generally inedible. I would describe that is unacceptable.

Just had chips, sausage and curry sauce from here this evening. Chips were super fresh and delicious, the best I have had from here.The sausages are great, not cheap but better than the typical chip shop sausage you’ll find so, I am happy to pay for the extra quality.I noticed a lot of negative reviews.. I personally have not suffered an awful meal from here. Pizza’s are nice too.

We turned up late on a Tuesday evening after a long day, just as the shop was closing. They very kindly said they could cook us some chips even though they were officially closing! Lovely chips and great service. Thankyou

We won a free large fish and chips at the pavilion Raffle. It was huge. I actually feed me my 2 year old and my 5 year old from it.The fish tastes fresh and the chips are good quality too. Reminds me of my favourite chippy in Edinburgh called globetrotters. Excellent.

Went to Hanborough off the hook for the first time in a while and it Will definitely be the last! Was greeted by a girl behind the till who when asked questions about the menu served you up attitude like she would rather be anywhere else. After spending nearly £50 on 4 fish and chips we got home only to find the fish was over cooked and nearly rock solid like it had been sat out in the heating rack for hours. Bad attitude of staff. Over priced inedible food.

coke we ordered not delivered. Think twice if you have food sensitivities, we ordered a vegan pizza, specified no dairy and was then ill for three days in the way only dairy makes me feel. No response to the email sent in complaint.

Below average fish at well above average prices.I paid in excess of £14 for small chips and large cod, batter wasn't nice, chips were as expected and the curry sauce was as expected. Massively let down by cod and the excessively expensive price

We had good old fish and chips between 5 of us, and it was huge pieces of fish and enough chips to sink the titanic. It's very tasty, hot, and scrummy. I'm looking forward to going up soon to visit our family and having another chippy dinner.
