Westcliff-on-Sea Beach

There is like a holiday city. If weather is good, you can spend time in beach. There has a big walking road with beach outlook

If you like fresh air, Westcliff is only 30 miles from London (now part of the City of Southend) It is literally a breath of fresh air. Parking is plentiful (£12.50 for 5 hours) and the walks along the Western Esplanade, gardens and the beach road are healthy, lung filling experiences. The views across the estuary to Kent can be an interesting break, with a coffee, tea, ice cream watching the people, sea birds, boats.The Cliff's Lift (fernicular) is 50p to the top of the cliffs, Pavilion, Bandstand, Casino and where the town's shopping malls are situated with the same shops as everywhere else (if they haven't closed down due to Covid)If you like fresh air stay outside.

Great place for a winters afternoon walk. Easy access all the way from Leigh station to Southend pier.

When the weather is good, it's a great experience. Plenty of food choices at the arches. Parking usually available. Nice gardens behind the Esplanade. Great place to do some beach time! ⛱

This is a lovely area of Essex. There are plenty of little cafes and a lovely walk along the front. Good day out.

Nice beach, not particularly busy , but also not really that sandy....more like pebbly sand
