purchased paint advertised on ebay at £30 for 20 litres free delivery!!!!!! not so charged £36.50!!!!!charged £6.50 for delivery when i approached orion paints they didn't want to know insisting that's the price now,paint quality seemed fine touch dry in 3 hours yes!! put anything on it after two weeks it sticks!!!! , I personaly i wouldn't recommend this company due to customer services and product quality.

Impressive. I was trying to match an old tin of hammerite Hammered Gold because the new tins are a different colour silvery in fact. I have sent 3 loads back via eBay and amazon, because those suppliers didn't know the colour of the paint had changed, albeit the label was the same. .( I complained to Hammerite for the confusion) Tom at Orion had some hammered gold and took the lid off one, photographed it and emailed me the colour, which matched and I then bought six tins. Which other supplier would do that for you. Excellent work Tom.

Great place for buying paint, whether you're a trade customer or private.While you may not be able to take your paint away with you on the same day (colour match or special requests), the savings in price compared to the DIY stores more than make up for this.Service is very friendly and the place is highly recommended.

Guy serving not interested in us,sold us 5ltrs of Liverpool red which we were told they do not sell ?? After complaining how it went on our walls in a Terrible patchy finish..which an offer of bring it back and we'll thicken it" was all we got offered ??Never again !!"

I visited them personally so have no idea of their online service. Helpful and friendly staff and prices that beat the 'high street' by a good brush length. I saved tens of pounds when I needed paint for the whole house. Recommended.

I’ve updated my last recent review after an email from Tom Cowell at Orion Paints explaining his emails hadn’t been picked up as he was off for a few weeks and the landline number had a fault on it. The paint arrived today and looks good on a test spot on the outside wall.

I have recently been to orion for paint and ordered 10L last friday and was charged £30.00 only to find I needed another 5L upon which I went back to premises and was told that it would cost £20.00 and that I should have ordered 15L in first place. I asked if I could collect it next morning early as I had to get job finished that day. I attended next morning at 9.30am only to be told hes not in yet by which i took it he meant the man who mixes the paint i said i would have to wait as i had come some distance. 10.00 am the man turned up for work(manager) who when i approached him said you will have to come back ive got meetings all morning and wont be able to get on it until 12.00 i said ok i would come back at 12.00 he then replied O i tell you what leave it till 2.00pm then it will definatley be ready by then. Obviously he wanted to have some lunch before starting work again. He also said it would mean him getting changed out of his suit clothes to mix the paint then back into his suit clothes. From being told it would only take 10mins to mix the colour to having to wait till 2.00pm I have never been more shocked at the way this man & his company can do that to a paying customer who has been going there for years. Well not anymore!! I will never use Orion Paints Kirkby ever again. He said to me what dont you understand its not ready" i cant believe he would speak to customer (pensioner) like that. I have never been more disgusted and upset with the way he spoke. I would not recomend Orion at all to any of my family or friends ever again.I hope you dont either."

Orion paints is positioned on Kirkby industrial estate. It has wonderful array of paints, varnishes and other items for a wide variety of household decorating purposes. Although the premises has a slightly unkempt look about it, don’t be misled by appearances. The stock on hand is always so reasonable. Much of the paint on hand is from famous makers such as dulux. The staff are brilliant and very keen to make them selves available to help whenever needed. If you need to paint your house or anything else for that matter, Orion Paints is well worth a visit.
