Brown and Green Cafe
Having used other B&G outlets for a while (Crystal Palace Triangle, Gipsy Hill Station and Crystal Palace Station), i thought I would give the South Norwood branch a go while in this area. Well it's up to scratch i can say that, I had the Station Breakfast with a cup of tea and it was excellent. Brilliant service and the cafe has a pleasant outlook onto the pedestrianised part of the high street adjacent to the station. Brilliant spot.

So happy that B&G’s has opened in South Norwood. How they’ve transformed that space is incredible. There’s plenty of power outlets around most seating and decent wifi if you’re looking to get some work done while you eat.The coffee is delicate and delicious, the food is tasty, fresh and reasonably priced, the staff are rays of sunshine - what more could you ask for?

I haven’t been to any of their cafés elsewhere. But fully enjoyed this visit. It was very busy but the service was fast. The location is also great! Quiet and outside seating area is next to beautiful cherry trees. Will come back again and very happy that South Norwood finally got a really nice place for a classic Brunch!

A welcome addition to SE25! Really want to like this place and for it to do well, but can’t help feeling slightly underwhelmed/disappointed whenever visiting. If staff can be a bit more proactive at keeping the place clean and tidy (used napkins and rubbish littering the floor) and make sure brunches are served hot (didn’t enjoy stone cold baked beans today), I’d be inclined to visit more often.

Have a nice vegan breakfast. Well seasoned and good portion. Plus it's close to the station. Good place to have some food or coffee before your train ride.

We’ve been here twice while staying in Croydon and both times were very happy with the food. The sausages are so yum and the scramble with feta was delicious as they added such a good amount of feta! The first time we went was on a Sunday and I don’t recommend going at this time unless you enjoy quite a busy, loud environment! When we went on a Thursday morning it was much nicer. They only take card, no cash.

Came here yesterday for the first time and I absolutely loved it. Will be returning today. Everyone who worked there was so lovely and the food was great. Really nice atmosphere

Brown and Green Cafe
They cleverly spotted the gap in the market here, a good brunch cafe was badly needed in SE25. Was so good, we went Saturday and Sunday! Great brunch menu, the eggs are always delicious, done which ever way, (i.e. quality with golden yolks), the coffee is on point, the American pancakes are fluffy, and the buttered sourdough toast arrives hot. Better brunch than (most people) can make at home, so go treat yourself.
