We found this petrol station when we were going to the supermarket so it saved us a trip after a long day driving and setting up our tent. We were very impressed how much they stocked and the reasonable prices.

They do have a water tap, but unwilling to let anyone use it (although 1ltr of water costs 0.1p) because the boss" watches the meter."

I filled my car with petrol, went into the shop to pay and asked if he had a 7Kg of calor gas in stock. He said yes and asked if I had brought an empty cylider which I had.At this point there were no customers in the shop and no cars filling up. I was then told I would have to wait since no one else had turned up for work!I told him that this was not good enough since it was quiet at that moment.He refused saying only that it was their mistake.It was only when I left the shop that a car pulled in to refuel.Poor service and I will not be returning.

Competitive rates for fuel and a well stocked shop, definitely the place to stop and recharge on the way in or out of Swanage. In fact, the staff are so friendly it's worth a long drive just as an excuse to visit! People say they visit Swanage for the beaches, the scenery, the market... Really they come to visit Texaco :-D
