Great value for the price. My only feedback would be to increase the amount of toilets that are available during busy periods and holidays. Have higher pressure showers that are cleaned much more regularly. Other than that a great place which looks amazing.

SEATHWAITE farm is beautifully positioned for walking, and sits in the middle of a stunning valley. Tim was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay. However, the owners website claim to provide toilets, when in fact the toilets are actually provided by the National Trust in a small nearby building which provides two cubicles for ladies and one cubicle and a urinal for the men. They were filthy and smelly - and clearly not adequate for the size of the campsite - There were at least 50 pitches when we stayed there. The owners said that the National trust were supposed to clean them, but to be fair the campsite is basically profiting from them and the owners should really be providing their own toilets.Given that, I think when the campsite is earning £500 per night from camping and also charging £5 for parking for all the hillwakers - they could obviously make and effort to clean the public toilets which are most be used by their own customers.

Location location location. Visited several times, just rock up and set up, brilliant.Only reason it's not 5 star, is that you will have no signal...make sure you notify loved ones before you get near......ZERO SIGNAL.

Nice place where you can camp with you tent or in your vehicle. There are as well beds in the barn but you have to check in advance availability. From this place you can start different routes of hiking. There are facilities like toilets and showers(you need 1£ coin for like 6 min timer). To mention there is not connection in that area. The price is like 8£ per night per person, and for keeping the car there as well like 8£ for whole duration of camping.

Toilets were dirty not to mention the lack thereof. Overpriced for a valley with no service, dirty facilities and an overall unfriendly attitude from owner. Clean water might aswell have been unavailable.

Good location for walking.Showers are poor quality - not all lights to cubicles work - and require a £1 coin to operate. However this was not advertised before we arrived, despite email exchanges with the owner. The toilets are of a long drop" style and were not cleaned in the 3 days we stayed. The field was a quagmire with no attempt to park cars elsewhere

Had a wonderful August Bank Holiday here. They now have TOILETS! albeit ‘long drop toilets’ but toilets non the less. The weekend was soured by a group of about 15 Neanderthals who bought with them a load of drums and they thought it was OK to play them non stop throughout the evenings. They even ‘played’ the same thing over and over with no regard for anyone else. You could hear nothing else but this drumming. It was terrible and spoilt the Saturday night.I’m not even sure if they were all there? They were possibly part of some Eastern European religious group. Anyhow all you could hear was this repetitive drumming. A lot of people left on the Sunday morning because of them so the owners, to their credit had a word with them. The site having toilets makes a difference and its situated in a wonderful valley. The owner can be seen most mornings with no trousers on in just his underpants and vest and cardigan. They have cows and sheep and the owner Tim is a proper chatterbox but a lovely helpful and friendly guy. This site is ace for kids too especially with the animals as part of the site. Will be going back but hopefully Billy Bongo and the Not Right wont be there this time.

First time here and found it a great site where you can enjoy your own privacy in a stunning setting. Pete, the owner, is a top bloke too with the addition of the site being dog friendly
