Pavilion Car Park
Large car park, convenient for visitors to the town and beach, but not cheap (£10 for the day). There is a smaller car park on The Nothe which is a bit cheaper (£6 for the day) if you don't mind walking a bit further, or are thinking of going there anyway. 2022 prices. Both car parks are free after 6pm.

Weymouth originated as a settlement on a constricted site to the south and west of Weymouth Harbour, an outlying part of Wyke Regis. The town developed from the mid 12th century onwards, but was not noted until the 13th century. By 1252 it was established as a seaport and became a chartered borough. Melcombe Regis developed separately on the peninsula to the north of the harbour; it was mentioned as a licensed wool port in 1310. French raiders found the port so accessible that in 1433 the staple was transferred to Poole. Melcombe Regis is thought to be the first port at which the Black Death came into England in June 1348, possibly either aboard a spice ship or an army ship. In their early history Weymouth and Melcombe Regis were rivals for trade and industry, but the towns were united in an Act of Parliament in 1571 to form a double borough. Both towns have become known as Weymouth, despite Melcombe Regis being the main centre. The villages of Upwey, Broadwey, Preston, Wyke Regis, Chickerell, Southill, Radipole and Littlemoor have become part of the built-up area.In the centre of the town lies Weymouth Harbour; although it was the reason for the town's foundation, the harbour separates the two areas of Melcombe Regis ( the main town centre ) and Weymouth ( the southern harbour side ) from each other. Since the 18th century they have been linked by successive bridges over the narrowest part of the harbour. The present Town Bridge, built in 1930, is a lifting bascule bridge allowing boats to reach the inner harbour. The Royal National Lifeboat Institution stationed a lifeboat at Weymouth for the first time on 26 January 1869. A boathouse was built with a slipway by the harbour and is still in use, although the lifeboat is now moored at a pontoon.

Close to the beach/harbour, however they have just increased the full day rate by 50% to £15 a day. For a town dependant on tourism this is just money grabbing. I would understand if they had updated the carpark, but nothing in the last few years. potholes everywhere, lines missing, and no electric signs to show if the car park is full. Not to mention the trap some people fall into of parking on the end of a row thinking its a space, and then getting slapped with a ticket (after paying to park already). Pure greed!

Weymouth parking prices extortionate.Cost £4.50 2 hours then we took ages in town and topped it up but rather than extending it to what 4 hours would cost it added another £4.50.Go to the park and ride. That was £6 for a family and you get ALL day.Do not recommend parking in town at all unless you are desperately in a hurry.

Good place to park to visit Waymouth beach. Nice views across the bay. Can pay with just park app so no coins needed.

It's a car park. Plenty of spaces, near the beach, not too expensive and if you download and use the 'JustPark' App it works out when the paid for period ends and the free period starts. It's not the easiest to navigate around but we have always found a space.Great view of Weymouth sea front too.

It's a carpark with plenty of spaces and a footsteps walk to Weymouth's amazing beach. With a sweet little seating area with the view that's I'm the picture below.

We rang Dorset council has the board said nothing over 6m however the motorhome boxes lined out were well in excess of this. Due to us having a disability badge and our van only 6.5m and fitted well in the box Dorset council granted us permission. However it is expensive £8 for the 4 hours but to get on such an ideal spot close to the flat walk to shops and a cafe on end of car park was worth the cost.
