My Mother and I both bought my Sons and Grandsons Wedding outfits and hats from Helen Sykes this year, sadly both wedding were cancelled due to Covid 19 but both have new dates arranged for later this year.Our outfits and hats are amazing, just like all the staff who always make you feel so welcome and special.The choice of wedding outfits for Mother’s of the Bride, Groom or guest are simply stunning, they also have amazing day, cruise and cocktail wear so there is something for everyone in all size.Would heighly recommend if your looking for that special outfit⭐️

I’d like to thank this amazing store and their kind staff for finding my Mother of the Groom dress. After half a year scrolling on the net I decided it was time to shop. The staff are very courteous and friendly. The shop is rather grand and I felt quite special. The dressing room was very large compared to others in this type of fashion that I’d visited . My dress was not on their website as it was new in so was a lovely surprise. I can recommend them very highly.

I cannot rate my experience enough. Ann was great, she took into account my preferences but also suggested things I never thought would suit me. I bought a lovely very chic dress that I never would have even tried on. It had to be extensively altered , I'm only 5.3, it needed lots of tapering, shortening etc and despite them being extremely busy, and my having to cancel a fitting due to isolation they simply could not do enough to accommodate me. Everyone's wedding is made to feel of ultimate importance. The shop is lovely, the choices fantastic, having that personal dresser experience invaluable and the alterations were flawless.

Purchasing Jane's outfit for our son's wedding. Everyone very helpful with excellent advice and no pressure to purchase (which we did). Delightful shop!

I find it difficult when shopping for clothes, especially when it's for a special occasion.My partner took me there . Within 10 minutes I had two stunning dresses . Staff absolutely amazing . Thank you .

Visited Helen sykes boutique today for my mother of the groom wedding outfit, wow was absolutely blown away with the service i received and the help and advice. I found the perfect dress /jacket /fascinator for my sons wedding in September, all i can say is Thank you xxx

Such a wonderful experience, visited this wonderful shop for the first time, looking for a mother of the bride outfit and was not disappointed, from the selection of wonderful dresses etc to the amazing ladies who helped me. Alterations were done so meticulously you can’t even tell any were done.... just need to be able to wear it now , patiently waiting for April 2021 as our daughters wedding had to be postponed due to coronavirus.

To say I am utterly disappointed by my experience at this shop is an understatement.I booked an appointment three weeks ago and made a round trip of 100 miles due to reviews and the choice of designers stated on the web site..On arrive I expressed I was looking for a midi, maxi dress for my informal registry office wedding. I was nervous as a second time bride of a certain age.In my correspondence prior to my appointment I told the shop I was nervous but they stated , don't worry we will guide you through the experience.On arrival I was not asked my budget. And, considering I was happy to spend a considerable amount of money on the right outfit. I found this very odd. I was then told they didn't have much stock in my size. ( I am 16-18 and was wearing a size 16 Ghost dress for the occasion) I got the feeling I was an inconvenience.Of the five dresses I was shown, two were maxi but we're unsuitable. The other three were so old fashioned my great grandmother won't have worn them. One lace outfit was more suitable for an elderly person. I didn't even bother trying them on. This is a very old fashioned frumpy shop.As usual it's the old Covid excuses we don't have much in due too Covid.To top it off on leaving, the assistant stated it's a shame your not getting married next year as we will have stock in. Surely if this shop had no stock in my size I should have been told prior booking an appointment. Terrible experience.
