Our table wasn't ready when we arrived despite booking it.Service was slow but the lady was friendly. Carvery was unmanned and we had to wait. Beef was almost finished and the carver was determined to give us the dry horrid bits when really a fresh joint should have been brought out. Potatoes were hard but tasted OK. Veggies nice and hot.

Only good thing was generous meat portions. Staff were disinterested and don’t have very good customer service. Overheard another customer ask about allergens and the chef didn’t have a clue. Was offered a kids meal as a 21 year old. Asked for a vegetarian plate which every other Toby carvery has accommodated, the chef proceeded to take a normal meat plate and wipe her apron all over it? Not sure what this was meant to achieve. The carrots were raw and the vegetarian gravy had god knows what floating about in it. Food was mediocre at best. Will not be returning.

Arived on time for our booking, the que to the carvery was so long we decided to order from the kitchen (thinking it would be quicker) an hour later with still no food, I decided go use the toilets... after squeezing past the massive que of people I find most of the toilets either blocked or so dirty I'd rather wee outside. We were there for an hour and 20 minutes total with no food. Feel sorry for the wait staff.

The waitress that we had was absolutely brilliant. Her name was Willow I think and certainly made our visit very pleasant with her great service.The meat on the plate was very frugal even though there was a lot on the stand but very few customers.

My wife and I were in the area and booked Sunday lunch. We had not been in a Toby for a long time and this did not disappoint. The food was fresh and well stocked and although it was busy service was good. Good choice of roasts and the only minor issue was that we expected a bit more meat than we got by going large"

Food was nice but ordering vegetarian option for one of us was a pain, told to go up after 10 mins by which point queue was very long, and when we reached the front it wasn’t ready so told to return and repeat the process. Also staff member taking order at the table was completely uninterested and borderline rude. Real shame as quality of food was good on the whole.

Extremely friendly service but unbelievably busy on a Sunday. We pre booked which was fortunate. The carvery queue was long with many items running out. Service was great, amazing team, so friendly and swift in ordering and bringing out drinks.Managers were very courteous and efficient. I think the kitchen needs more support to help run the delivery orders as well as the in restaurant diners. The team were swamped but despite that they were always helpful and responsive.Best roast potatoes at any Toby's we've had.

The dinner on this visit was poor. The roast potatoes were over done and there was only peas and sprouts as vegetables. The waiting service was very slow, and I had to go and pay at the bar after the meal. I wanted a pudding but didn't get to order one in the end, due to the table server being rather slow or non existent. If I had to have paid fully price, I would have been rather aggrieved. Fortunately I had a 50% off voucher.

Always great value and friendly service although the portion sizes of meat do vary a lot. I reckon I got served ⅖ of a normal portion last night & had to eat some of my partner's! I don't know why they don't weigh it out on some scales for consistency instead of just guessing.

Avoid. Was so awful. Food was Luke warm. Old dry and hard potatoes .mash was also very hard and dry. Peas hard, no flavour everything was nearly cold and old and dry. All we had was a sorry from manager. The salt was all moist so couldn't get any salt out. Even trying multiple other tables. Was just awful. Would avoid.Very unfriendly behind the carvery. Had to wait for mash. Hardly any gravy available
